Estimated Mean Weight by Age Group (with 95% CIs)

This chart shows average weight across age groups, with 95% confidence intervals (the vertical error bars).

📊 What it shows:
👉 Weight increases from 20–29 up to 50–59.
👉 It peaks in middle age (40–59).
👉 It declines again after 60.

📌 How to interpret the error bars:
👉The vertical lines represent the 95% confidence interval i.e the likely range where the true population mean falls.
👉Narrow bars means more precise estimates.
👉Overlapping bars (e.g., 40–49 and 50–59) suggest little or no statistical difference whereas little or no overlap suggests stronger differences.

🎯Professional Tip:
Always include clear titles, labeled axes, proper scaling, and visible confidence intervals. Clean, well-edited graphs improve credibility and interpretation.
