There is a fabric weight at which sits perfectly tensioned for four hours, and a fabric weight at which it begins to sag at hour three. The difference is invisible to most people.

It is the difference between a room that holds and a room that loosens.

The pista is the same. Three centimeters too high and the boundary breaks. Two degrees off-axis and the light hits the wrong cheekbone.

Watching Brian and Elizabeth reminded me of that.

As I photographed them, I felt something shift inside me.
