A design system isn’t just a UI library.
It’s the shared language behind scalable products.

Because users notice inconsistency faster than teams notice technical debt. Tiny mismatches in buttons, spacing, flows, and interactions slowly turn products into digital junk drawers.

Good design systems create:
✦ consistency
✦ faster collaboration
✦ cleaner handoffs
✦ scalable experiences
✦ stronger user trust

The goal isn’t making everything look identical.
It’s making everything feel intentional.

A lot of teams think a design system is just a prettier component library.
It’s not. It’s operational clarity.

A strong design system creates consistency across products, reduces development friction, speeds up collaboration, and helps teams scale without reinventing the wheel every sprint. Which, frankly, should not be a radical concept in 2026, yet here we are watching companies name 14 different button styles “Primary Final v2.”

Design systems help teams:
• Create more consistent user experiences
• Reduce design and development debt
• Improve handoff between teams
• Build trust with users through predictability

When your product speaks the same visual language everywhere, users stop working to understand your interface and start focusing on what they actually came to do.

That’s the point.

I’ve been wanting to design for an organic coffee brand for a really long time. After not having the opportunity (yet), I figure I can design for one now and do what I want with it uninhibited. After traveling to Mexico countless times and tasting some of the most delicious coffee, why not create a whole fictitious brand that celebrates “brujeria” in Mexico instead of hiding it. Alas, “Bruja” was born. “Bruja” receiving its name from the Spanish translation for “witch”, is an organic Mexican coffee brand from the region of Oaxaca. Oaxaca is steeped in a rich history of communing with spirits and celebrating Dia de los Mu***os, I wanted “Bruja” to remain simple, yet bold. Duality embracing. Cosmic and bold, yet sustainable.

If you’ve never tried Mexican coffee — know that it’s “bewitchingly bold, but deliciously delightful”.
