Remote Year together with PAPER + TOAST along with the co-hosts Startup Weekend Kuala Lumpur and Google for Education, are excited to host a Startup Weekend KL from

20th to 22nd October 2017. Whether you are a serial entrepreneur or new to the startup scene, if you are motivated to build a product or a startup and are open to new ideas, you’ll fit right in. Startup Weekend attendee backgrounds are roughly 50% technical (developers, coders, designers) and 50% business (marketing, finance, law, business development). Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams will get to hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurs.

Getting access to great ideas haven't always been easy. Back in the day, you would only be in the loop if you were literate, educated and rich. Good thing times have changed. The internet has made sharing ideas a breeze. And no one is doing it better than TED. TED is a non-profit organization that's big on spreading awesome ideas. Twice a year, TED holds this conference, where thought leaders from around the world give some mind-blowing talks. Then TED sticks them online so you can watch them for free!
Volunteers translate the videos, which means anyone can be inspired by the likes of Bill Gates, Malcolm Gladwell or Jane Goodall.

So what is TEDx? TEDx is a way to run a mini TED-style event in our own town, hold talks around issues that matter to the community, free from corporate, political and religious agendas.

TEDxAPUKL are back to with more interesting ideas sharing!
TEDxAPUKL would be held on 27th October 2018, located at Auditorium 2, Asia Pacific University
