✅ Steps to Turn On All SMB Settings in Windows
Open Windows Features

Press Windows + R, type optionalfeatures, and press Enter.

This opens the Windows Features dialog.

Find and Enable All SMB-Related Options Scroll down and look for the following options, then check (tick) them all:

✔️ SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support

Expand it and check:

SMB 1.0/CIFS Client

SMB 1.0/CIFS Server

SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal (optional)

✔️ SMB Direct

(Note: SMBv2 and SMBv3 are built-in and do not appear as separate options here, but they are enabled by default on modern Windows versions.)

Click OK

After checking the boxes, click OK

Restart Your Computer

A restart is required to apply the changes. Click Restart now when prompted, or restart manually later.

✅ Steps to Configure Sharing Options per Profile (Private, Guest/Public, All Networks):
Open Control Panel

Press Windows + R, type control, and press Enter.

Go to Network and Sharing Center

In Control Panel, click on Network and Internet

Then click Network and Sharing Center

Access Advanced Sharing Settings

On the left sidebar, click Change advanced sharing settings

Configure Sharing Settings for Each Profile You'll see three sections:

Private

Guest or Public

All Networks

🔹 Under “Private”:
Turn on network discovery

Turn on file and printer sharing

🔹 Under “Guest or Public”:
Turn on network discovery

Turn on file and printer sharing

(Note: Only configure this if you use public networks; otherwise, you can skip.)

🔹 Under “All Networks”:
Turn on public folder sharing

Enable 128-bit encryption (recommended)

❌ Turn off password protected sharing

Save Changes

Scroll to the bottom and click Save changes
