Autism is known as a neurological disorder. It is believed that autism manifests itself during the first three years of a child's life. This condition affects the neurological normal brain function, subsequently affecting the development of a child's communication and social interaction skills. Early Intervention programs are necessary and imperative to prepare children who have Autism from the ag

e of 3 years old to pre-teens with the required life skills so that they can function and live independently. However, there seems to be a lack of support and opportunities for emerging adults who have Autism from the age of 18 years old and above to learn a skill and be gainfully employed. As such, Puzzle Prints Sheltered Workshop is a community-based business by CHILD Sabah that aims to provide employment in a work-life balance environment for individuals with Autism, making them independent contributors to society. Our trainees are given the required skills to print and produce customised tees and tote bags using heat pressed printing, and create button badges for promotional and personal expression.
