It started with two individuals from different parts of the world—Harine Palanirajan Vijayarajkumar from India and Arsyi Aditama from Indonesia—stepping into an unfamiliar environment with one shared intention: to grow.

Within The Genuine Brands’ R&D Frontier Program, they worked hand in hand. Different backgrounds, different perspectives, but aligned in discipline and commitment. Through that collaboration, ideas became solutions, and effort turned into real progress. This is where great things began to happen.

Standing alongside Ts. Eryana, Lecturer from the Electrical and Electronics Department, UCSI University, they presented with confidence that came from experience—not theory. Weeks of original development, problem-solving, and continuous refinement led to that moment.

2026. Year 21. Beyond...

Twenty years ago, The Genuine Brands began with a simple belief:

that good ideas—when built with integrity—can stand the test of time.

It began in 2005, when our founder was just 17 years old—with curiosity, conviction, and the courage to start before everything was figured out.

What followed was not a straight line, but a series of deliberate phases:

2005–2009 | The Foundation Years

- Learning by doing. Crafting brands and ideas from the ground up. Understanding people, trust, and responsibility.

2010–2014 | The Professionalisation Phase

-Moving from ex*****on to strategy. From design as output to clarity as purpose.

2015–2018 | The Expansion Phase

-Venturing into platforms, events, and larger ecosystems. Learning scale—and the discipline it demands.

2019–2021 | The Resilience Phase

-A world in transition. Markets paused. Priorities reset. We refined what truly mattered.

2022–2024 | The Integration Phase

-Creativity met structure. Branding met data. Intellectual property, platforms, and human-centric systems began to converge.

2025 | The Threshold Year

-Alignment. Readiness. The quiet completion of our first chapter.

Along the way, our work was recognised across Italy, the United States, China, and Malaysia, earning 17 multi-international awards, including honours from 4A’s, Kancil Awards, A’ Design Awards, IDA Awards, and Nike Canvas Design—not as validation we chased, but recognition that followed consistency and care.

But beyond awards and years, the word “Genuine” has always meant more to us than a company name.

It is a belief.

A discipline.

A quiet faith to humanity.

We still believe that genuineness matters.

That authenticity is not a tactic, but a responsibility.

That trust is built slowly—and must be protected fiercely.

The world has changed many times in these twenty years.

Just 20 days ago, our founder Prof. Dr. Jeffery Yap was ranked #13 in Malaysia on the 2025/2026 World Design Rankings.

Today, we’re pleased to share the next milestone — Prof has been ranked #3039 worldwide in the 2025/2026 Designer Rankings by the A’Design Awards.

To put this into perspective, the rankings assess tens of thousands of designers globally, placing Prof within the top 5,000 designers in the world. It’s a position that reflects long-term consistency, depth of work, and sustained contribution across years — not a single project or moment.
