"Izah, macam mana nak jadi kuat macam you?"
Ada sorang stranger dm saya, menangis sedih sebab dicurangi tunang yang dia tunggu selama 5 tahun.

Lepas puas dia meluah dia tanya saya, "how do I become kuat macam you?"

Sejujurnya saya tak kuat tapi saya depend pada yang Maha Kuat.

I menangis, mengadu merintih semua masalah I pada Allah. I luah semua yang terbuku. Dah penat menangis, I tidur atas sejadah. Then bangun minum air, makan something warm & cari chocolates.

Kemudian baru I seek for help.
Ada 4 jenis orang yang saya akan cari. Take note.

1) Problem Solver ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ”ง

Problem solver ialah experts yang berkaitan dengan masalah yang boleh selesaikan masalah.

Contohnya masalah legal, saya cari lawyer or human rights. Kalau masalah business cari mentor or business consultants untuk bantu selesaikan.

2) Healer๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ

Psychologists or therapist. Dieorang ni yang akan bantu kita untuk fikir dengan betul, dia akan ajar & bagi semua kelengkapan untuk kita masuk our 'invisible war'.

Scripts, mindset, thought process everything we need. Kita akan hadap 'perang' dengan lebih baik sebab well prepared.

3) Supporter๐Ÿ‘ซ

Kelompok ni biasanya tak berapa faham apa yang kita hadap sebab dia tak pernah lalui benda sama. Tapi dieorang sayang kita enough to support us in anyway they can.

They can be our family or friend or partner. Contohnya dia tolong sama-sama carikan psychologist or tolong masakkan warm meal time kita depressed.

4. Empaths๐Ÿ‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Our fellow 'invisible war' survivors. Dia dah hadap apa yang kita hadap, dia tahu macam mana peritnya, dia tahu betapa terseksanya jiwa.

These people are the firsts to validate our pain. Dia yang akan bantu kita tengok apa hikmah atau cara untuk bertahan atau guide kita kepada orang-orang yang boleh bantu kita.

Our mental & spiritual journey aligns. Their strength akan bagi you keyakinan you juga mampu untuk hadap your pain.

5 Important Questions Rich People Ask In Life

"What rich people have in common?", asked Tim Ferris to his coach.

I wrote this back in 2018, still find it useful today.

Tim Ferris is an international trainer.

He has this habit of listing life questions into his journal.

One day, he met one of his respected coach to seek for wisdom.

"What all rich people have in common?"

His coach said, "They all answer the life 5 questions" :

โœ… 1. What are your purpose?

Why are you in this planet?
What impact you want to have?
How do you to know when you are there?

Steve Job knows exactly why he is in this world, therefore he kept doing it until his death. Have you ever read his deathbed notes?

โœ… 2. What are your god given superpower?

What are your talent you had been polishing or working on and love doing?

Life is hard, if you are working on what you love, that will help you to keep motivated.

โœ… 3. What are your values?

Not your worth but your principles.
Can you say No?

When you are shoved with temptations such as money, will you be able to say No for the sake of your life purpose?

โœ… 4. 20 years from now, how is the world experiencing you?

What kind of value you bring to the world?

Visualize it in detail.

Reverse engineer and work everything towards it.

โœ… 5. Who would you be if you already be there?

Visualize your future self in terms of :
- mindset
- lifestyle
- relationship
- & how will you present yourself to others?


Now that it is 2024, not gonna lie, these questions hit me differently.

I look back at my life choices and decided to mend my ways.

As Adam Grant said, there is no point of sprinting at wrong direction.

Mana Bagus? Copywriting Pendek ke Panjang?

Saya fikir, kita perlu test dua-dua format. Tapi...

Baru-baru ni saya baca article dari Stacked Marketer.

Dia tulis, ada 4 keadaan copywriting seeloknya pendek & ringan.

Michal Eisik fikir, semua copywriting wajib ringkas, kemas, padat dengan semua info penting.

Tujuannya satu.
Untuk persuade manusia.

Tapi, dalam 4 keadaan ni, copywriting kita seeloknya pendek dan ringan :

TLDR :
1. Industri Visual
2. Relationship-Driven Website
3. Long Sales Cycle
4. High Aware, High Intent

โœ…1. Industri Visual

Pelanggan industri ni lebih pentingkan hasil bentuk visual seperti gambar berbanding ayat.

Contohnya seperti servis photography, videography.

โœ…2. Relationship-Driven Website

Relationship-driven website ni maknanya website lebih pentingkan user. Selesa, engaging, praktikal dan mudah faham.

Contohnya, industri hartanah.

Kebanyakkan website ejen ada list banyak rumah. Websitenya macam brochure.

Tapi untuk setiap listing rumah ni, ejen hartanah perlu buat copywriting yang pendek.

Tak perlu letak semua detail rumah, hanya highlight info best, ciri-ciri unik, dan guna ayat menyentuh EMOSI.

โœ…3. Long Sales Cycle

Long sales cycle bermakna, kita akan ambil masa lama untuk convert pelanggan. Prosesnya panjang.

Contohnya, company manufacturing.
Lebih perform jika guna lead magnet yang bagus untuk tarik minat bakal pelanggan.

Untuk setiap proses, pastikan copywriting ringan & mudah supaya pelanggan tak bosan & hilang minat. (low friction).

โœ…4. Business High Aware & High Intent

Ada bisnes, mereka ada fanbase besar, branding power. Pelanggan dah tahu semua info product/servis & ready nak membeli.

Dia just perlukan confirmation bukan sales pitch.

Contohnya, industri teknologi, video game, international food chain. Paling senang, peminat iphone.

Peminat iphone tak perlu copywriting panjang, dia dah ready nak berebut beli iphone terbaru.

Jelas? Save tips ni untuk rujukan.

Top 5 Email Newsletter Marketers & Creators Should Join in 2024

Siapa sini dah bosan scroll content di social media?
Kalau korang dah bosan, kita geng.

Dulu, saya akan spend masa disocial media.

Tengok viral topic, trend, kaji behaviour KOL dan baca perangai audience untuk buat content.

Tapi sekarang, saya dah muak.

Sangatlah bising dengan lambakan info tak perlu yang saya taknak baca.

Dah hide pun masih keluar. Sakit hati kot.

Jiwa adventurous saya nak buat sesuatu yang lebih menarik. Almaklumlah dah 10 tahun kaji social media.

Tapi dalam masa yang sama, saya masih s**a baca content.

Apa option yang ada?
Article google, journals, buku dan email newsletter.

Untuk tahun 2024 ni, saya sarankan marketer, content creators join newsletter daripada 5 nama ni :

โœ…1. Exploding Topics

Kita akan dapat tahu topic apa yang tengah trending kat social media (mostly US). Dia akan bagi simple graph every week.

Contohnya this week saya dapat info tentang topic trending fluted glass, cybercore, grounding shoes.

โœ…2. Stacked Marketer

My favourite. Fresh bite size marketing knowledge yang lebih radical dan practical.
Ada banyak topic dalam 1 newsletter. Contohnya, AI Marketing, Advertising, SEO, etc.

But, the way they design the newsletter didnt make my eyes hurt.

Tak susah baca newsletter dia dengan saiz font dan spacing paragraph yang bagus.

โœ…3. Psychology of Marketing

Saya baru subscribe tahun ni. Sangatlah menarik baca casestudy untuk setiap topic dia ajar.

Contoh artikel terbaru, Social Doubt vs Social Proof. How to use social doubt in your marketing!

Yang ni syok saya baca. Nanti saya share my experiment findings.

โœ…4. Harvard Business Review

Newsletter HBR masih best, simple, research based. HBR Newsletter lebih tersusun. Kita boleh pilih by topic.

Ada topic strategy, analytics, leadership, burnout management, finance, managing return, early career tips etc.

Saya paling s**a bab leadership and personal growth.

โœ…5. Neil Patel

Jujur cakap, saya agak bosan dengan stail newsletter rata-rata guru bisnes/marketer Malaysia.

Saiz font, design, gaya bahasa, depth of content research etc.

Tak boleh salahkan sifu, sebab mostly staff yang tulis, bukan sifu.Jaranglah dieorang nak tulis sendiri.

Lebih parah lagi, most staff hanya nak kejar KPI bukan kualiti.huhu๐Ÿ˜‚

Tapi yang betul-betul best masih ada.
Contohnya KartelDigital. Tak ramai. Saya terpaksa baca content guru luar negara.

Content Neil Patel ni straight forward, latest marketing world info daripada sudut pandang sebuah agency marketing yang besar macam Neil Patel. Kena selera saya.

Link ada kat first comment. Semua ni free saja tau. Ada option paid kalau berminat.

Dah subscribe? Puas hati dengan list ni?

Sharelah content saya ni ya. Nanti saya tulis lagi next content.

Put yourself in the context.

Remember this, whenever we come across advice in the internet, especially the simplistic quotes in bombastic pictures by influencers, always put yourself in the equation.

Advice from successful people + your personal context = Result.

Jangan tiru babibuta.
Focus on your strength, improve your weakness, take risk on your potentials, and manage your threats.

Live better, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
