Web Design
There are many similarities between print design and Web design. There are also several differences between production for print and production for the web.

The web has quickly become one of the most powerful and exiting tools for designers today. The first websites were created by computer scientists and engineer by using an early and relatively limited version of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). Now almost majorities of the graphic programme out there; example Adobe can be used to design a website. And you can even design your own through free web building platforms. Without any knowledge of coding. But one thing for certain the basic of graphic design still plays a role in website visual communication.

With today current technologies, web and motion graphics take us beyond both texts and images. As we now know that human perception is a blend of sensory input from sight, hearing, taste and touch, all shaped by our fondest memories. Increasingly, as the medium of the World Wide Web allows ease of international communication, our communication and design are shared globally. The new media technologies rely strongly upon visual design communication.

Lastly, I would like to remind that we must be knowledgable about both the production and the consumption of images. Because of media technologies are constantly evolving, we need to be prepared to renew our knowledge base constantly throughout our career.

The tools and Process
Computer is one of the major core of contemporary design and production. The design field is constantly expanding, as new avenues of non-print design and communication evolve with developing technologies. This technology has the power to reshape our perception of ourselves and our world. Exciting as it may be the real tools is still the flexibilities, curious and open mind that are always open to a new frontier and willing to learn more as education is a life-long process especially now, as changes come as quickly than before.

There are many computer application in design. These include CAD/CAM (Computer-aided design and manufacturing) systems through which a designer can generate three-dimensional models of a new design. Other is print applications, allow designs to go from designer's computer to the offset press, all as digital files.

Beyond print applications, the internet bringing us together with an interchange of visual information and other data sharing. And lets us not to forget readily available multimedia and animations programs, that allow designers to generate animation, interactive environments and presentation graphics.

Now, the flexibility and convenience of this miraculous and powerful tools are amazing but always remember, these are just tools. At the end of the day, it is how well we use these inspiring tools to express our beautiful creativities.

Advertising Design

They are various areas of advertising design are presented, including 2-D and 3-D print applications, such as newspaper, television and the internet.

The purpose of advertising.
Advertising is different from pure graphic design in intent. It jobs are to convince and gave out pieces of information.
A successful advertisement;
1.attracts attention
2.communicates a massage
3.convincing the audiences

Advertising can have many different looks, such as television, newspapers, direct mail, magazines, billboards, outdoor display, web-sites and point-of-purchase displays. Whatever the medium, it is characterized by an attempt to convince the audiences, with the intent to boost sales and making profits.

Many advertisements have both persuasive and information qualities. The closer an advertisement comes to pure information, the closer it comes to pure graphic design. The closer a graphic design to achieve its purpose of persuading the audience and manage to give out information, the closer it comes to pure advertising.

Dynamic Balance

To make a page, you need to understand the images and typographic of photography and illustration. Understanding how to make multiple elements works together in harmony is knowledge of visual language of balance.

There are two kinds of unified communication happen in Graphic Design. Intellectual Unity; which is an idea generated and word dominated. Visual Unity; which is created by the placement of design elements noticeable by the eye. Pretty tough? ok, one is thinking off subject matter while the other thinking of the design. Easy.....

Now we also have, visual dynamics which is basically where the location of graphics in your design, top to bottom, left to right, right to left or bottom to up, and try to make it readable ok...

Lastly, is balance composition. Our eye is attracted to balance the composition. That a key point itself! Such as symmetry, asymmetry and others. As long as it is pleasant and readable than your campaign graphic is halfway there. ( Still, a long way to go for a successful campaign. Ps; marketing 😉)

Overall balance plays a key role in a successful graphic campaign. We want to be approachable and readable. And above all, clear delivering massage. Good luck.

Page Layout

Page layout, either in prints or website it's required a skillfully balancing act of design elements.

Multiple pages and site need to be integrated through a series of related visuals and concepts.

There are a few ways to make layout such as; balancing, size and proportion, visual rhythm, grid and
path layout and much more to be technical.

All for better communication and delivering a better campaign. Bad layout means miscommunication
and non-understanding massage and of course, we don't want that. 🙂

Finally, whatever the style, your layout should do justice to the intentions of copywriter, photographer,
illustrator, clients and yourself.

What is typographic and why it is one of the most important element in graphic design?

Typography is an art of arranging type or font. It is highly important to work with graphic designer and marketing professionals for your brands or campaign. The choice of doing so will determent your typeface, layout and scheme giving you a good overall professional design. After all a good design can launch a great campaign and bringing back your investment ;)

Now why is it important?

It’s to help attract your target audiences. To help them understand where you are going with your brand and to help educate them with your brand. A visually appealing font will help in audience engagement and help building communication. And of course to help in building your brand recognition.

Especially today where font design are more important with the existing of online marketing. Research shows that the correct selection of font will directly impact your reader’s reaction. Most business professional will said and it kind of cliché that content is king but with the wrong font your readers will take your work as a joke.

To conclude, typography will influence your target audiences so choose wisely.

Ever wonder what will be your career expansion in Graphic Design? Many, such as Multimedia Designer, Web Designer, Logo Designer, Brand Identity Designer, Flash Designer and Creative / Art Director.

All the above career and all related to it, will require you, not only focus on technical software but also understand arts and business. But the most important is to understand human character. As you will expand it, and its companies and identity products. A new upgrade I will said.

Just remember all the above is just tools, human character is real, that what you need to be focus on.

How colors impact your Graphic Design

Colors have the ability to affect you even if you visually can’t see them. Different color give off different wavelength and frequencies, and each have different affect.
We can surely categorize the fundamental of understanding of colors into 2 part, that is:
1. Appetizing color scheme.
Color that often use in associate with nature foods such as fruits, green vegetables and breads.
This color stimulate the appetite and giving an attracting warm and fresh visual. Which is highly used in food advertising.

2. Color characteristic.
There are 6 groups of characters for color, there are;
a. Color wheel. Spectrum colors arranged into a circle.
b. Hue. The purest form of colors.
c. Lightness. Shade of dark and light on one color.
d. Primary color. The 3 basic colors; red, yellow and blue, that can be mix and produce secondary color.
e. Secondary color. Born from the mixture of 2 primary colors.
f. Monochromatic color. The monochromatic color scheme uses variations in lightness of a single color.

Of course there are others characteristic as well, such as saturation, shades, tint, tone and others in details, which you can read more online and other graphic books.
For me, color played a big role in my graphic design. Playing and understanding of color allowed you to produce more professional graphic design and better communicate with your clients. By understanding the important role and meaning of each colors allowed you to lift up your brand. So study your colors. ;)

1- The basic of business; you must explore the basic of business so you can relate to yourself and the clients better, understanding business will make you relevant and invaluable to your company and to your clients.

2-Contract; understand what they want and understand how they want it so you can deliver your project better.

3-Marketing; knowing how graphic design works with the marketing and sale team allow to understand better on how to support the brand.

Graphic designer not simply technical art job it is the way how is your understanding of life and beauty.
