New work updated! Exhibition branding for May We...

The exhibition explores the racial riots of May 13, 1969. It aims to understand the importance of memory and questioning, hurting and healing, comprehending the burden of narratives, and passing them along. And finally, the act of cleansing and respect.

With 2020 being the year of the ox, we play with the Mandarin words of 'bull's horn,' characterised as 牛角 (niú jiǎo).

More precisely, the Mandarin idiom of "牛角尖 (niú jiǎo jiān)" is a key inspiration. Its literal translation is, 'to pe*****te a bull's horn,' but what it really means is, "wasting time on an insoluble, or insignificant problem." Coincidentally, the same chinese characters are used to describe the delicious delights that are croissants — 牛角包 (niú jiaǒ bāo). We want to chase away your cloudy and insignificant days with crispy, buttery, and flaky croissants. And wish you days filled with passion, inspiration, and happiness in this Niuyer.

It’s been a crazy month for me as I finally opened the first studio space (after working on my couch and cafe chair for years)! I will be sharing a studio combining retail and a working studio with my friends. Say hello to my dear friends and studio mates, .store and . It’s an unexpected and grateful opportunity to able to have a workspace despite this difficult time.

We are happy to announce that the space is officially open this weekend. We will be opening up to the friends and public this weekend. Grab some drinks and hang with us (with strict social distancing rules apply!)

We are taking every precaution to make sure everyone is safe and having fun. We will be sectioning the time and limited the number of visitors in each time slot to avoid overcrowding. Do book your time slots in the link in the bio. See you!
