The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Israeli government, Gideon Sa’ar, gave an account of his historic visit today to the city of Hargeisa, the capital of the Republic of Somaliland.

The minister noted that this visit took place following an invitation he received from the President of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi (Cirro). He stated that they will work toward strengthening relations and cooperation between Somaliland and Israel.

Gideon pointed out that Israel has the right to choose whom it establishes relations with or cooperates with.
