Does you guys know that we need to choose our chilies wisely to make sambal?
For your information, we need to know how to choose chilies for our sambal to be flavourful and to be spicy according to our level of spiciness. So what kind of things that we need to consider when choosing chilies to make sambal?
1. The level of spiciness. The most spicy one. This type of chilies is a red, shiny and without stalks. If you want your sambal to be really spicy you can use this chili.
2. Fresh or dried red chillies. This one is a dried red chillies and the level of spiciness is mild. This Kind of chilies is not that red, not shiny and curly. This is what we usually use to make sambal and we need a lot of it if we want the sambal to be spicy.
3. For whom you cook. This kind of chilies is the right one for children because it is not spicy at all. Shiny red type, plump and stalked. It has a beautiful red colour when you make sambal and the children can eat it.
