AI is creating new opportunities for us. At the same time, technology is also giving scammers new ways to deceive and target people.

The session looked at some of the situations many of us come across in our daily lives, from suspicious WhatsApp messages and social media scams to phishing emails, QR code scams and malicious files. We also talked about how AI is changing the way scams are created and how scammers can make their messages look and sound more convincing.

Through real examples, discussions and a short quiz, participants had the opportunity to identify common warning signs and think about what they can do before clicking, downloading, sharing or responding to something suspicious.

One simple reminder from the session:
Pause. Check. Verify. Then act.

Cybersecurity is no longer just a technical topic. It is something that affects all of us, whether we are at work, running a business, studying or simply using our phones every day.

Taking the first step into the digital world may seem complicated. However, sometimes it all begins with one simple step, creating a space for a business to be recognised online.

Through Bengkel Kamek Digital (Series 6), participants learned how to create and manage a page or โ€œDigital Storeโ€ as a platform to introduce their products and services to more customers.

From preparing suitable business information, selecting images and writing product descriptions, to making their pages more engaging and learning how to identify target customers through Facebook Ads Advantage+ Audience Detailed Targeting, each step helped participants understand how Facebook can be used as a practical digital tool for business.

Selain latihan praktikal bersama Tang Sing Moi daripada TG Creative Consultant, peserta turut mendapat perkongsian tentang asas dron, keselamatan dan peraturan penerbangan bersama Geoffrey Lee Chong Beng daripada Zeitgeist Inspira Technologies Sdn. Bhd.

Peserta bukan sekadar mengambil gambar dan video, tetapi juga menggunakan kemahiran ini untuk mempromosikan perniagaan, mendokumentasikan aktiviti, memperkenalkan produk dan kawasan tempatan, serta meneroka rakaman udara dan pemetaan kebun atau kawasan pertanian.

A smartphone is more than just a communication device. With basic knowledge and skills, it can become a useful tool for creating more engaging photos and videos, whether for personal use, business or the community.

Through Bengkel Kamek Digital (Series 5): Photography & Video with Smartphone + Drone, participants learnt the basics of photography, techniques for creating videos, as well as the use of drones for aerial footage. This session brought together participants from Lundu, Sematan, Bau, Kuching, Serian and Lubok Antu, making the sharing of experiences more diverse and meaningful.

In addition to practical training with Tang Sing Moi from TG Creative Consultant, participants also gained insights into drone fundamentals, safety and flight regulations with Geoffrey Lee Chong Beng from Zeitgeist Inspira Technologies Sdn. Bhd.

Participants learnt more than just how to take photos and videos. They also explored how these skills can be used to promote businesses, document activities, showcase local products and areas, explore aerial footage and mapping for farms and agricultural areas.

May the knowledge and skills gained continue to be applied and shared, bringing greater benefits to the communities of Lundu, Sematan and surrounding areas.
