In the age of AI, what matters more — tools, or strategy?

Lately, I’ve been hearing this quite often:

“Content creation is easy now. We have AI.”

And it’s true.
AI tools today can generate content, design visuals, write copy, and even automate workflows.

Everything feels faster and more efficient.

But this leads me to a question:

If there is no clear thinking or strategy behind it, how useful are these tools really?

Many businesses are now creating more content than ever.
Using AI, producing posts, running campaigns.

But the real question is:

Is this content actually building a brand?
Or just filling up space?

Without clarity on:

Who you are
What you stand for
Who you are trying to reach
What you want to be remembered for

Even the most efficient tools may not create meaningful impact.

What I’ve come to realise is this:

AI amplifies ex*****on.
But strategy defines direction.

Tools can help you move faster.
But thinking determines whether you’re moving in the right direction.

In this AI era, the real difference may no longer be who uses the best tools —

but who understands what they are doing.
So I’m curious to hear from this community:
What matters more today — tools or strategy?

And have you noticed this as well:
More content, but not necessarily stronger brands?
