Why do we prefer colored card over printing full page color on a white card stock?

Colored cards are more vibrant and saturated and they show the same color veiwing at any angle. But the downside of name card printing on colored card is that it cannot be printed in full color. If you have a colorful design, white card stock is the only way to go, because the main finishing on colored card is hot stamping.
