If you are Wondering: Difference Between Credit Transfer Course & Collaboration Course
Transfer Programme (USA, UK, AUS, Canada)
Few Universities in Malaysia offer credit transfer programme to other popular countries in education sector. Among those university INTI, SEGI, Monash, Taylor’s are more popular than others. By definition transfer programme means Student can transfer their credit to other country after studying 2 years in Malaysia. There are many unique rules for each University regarding to courses, CGPA, intake etc. Commonly the basic subjects are taught in Malaysia and students has to take core subjects in the country where they want to complete their study. The minimum CGPA is required 2.50 during transfer process. This might change according to future university. As example few universities demand 2.00 whereas few other demands CGPA 3.00.
Process:
Step 1: Apply to a transfer program in particular field of study in Malaysia and get enrolled.
Step 2: List down few universities where you want to transfer your credit after 2 years.
Step 3: Take the courses in each semester that are required for your target University. Your will find the details of each university in your department in Malaysia.
Step 4: Try to keep your CGPA as high as the target University demand. (very important)
Step 5: After completing the courses for 2 years in Malaysia apply for the target university in credit transfer program and get approval from them. You may apply earlier and that is a good idea.
Step 6: Send your transcript for credit evaluation. The target university will assist you in this case.
Step 7: Apply for the Visa from Bangladesh to that country you are willing to study. Provide them all documents including your certificates, marksheet, bank solvency etc.
Step 8: Fly to the country and join the target University for further 2 years and complete your graduation there.
Collaboration Course in Malaysia:
Unlike Credit Transfer You do not have to fly to other countries to get their certificates for your graduation. Collaboration courses are mainly known as 3+0 or 4+0. That means you will study in Malaysia for 3 or 4 years and get certificate from the university (UK, USA, AUS, CANADA) you enrolled. Many Universities in Malaysia provide this opportunity to complete the Degree in Malaysia.
Process:
Step 1: Browse the university that you want to study from the list given from Malaysian University. Many popular universities from UK, USA, AUS, Canada provide the opportunities now-a-days.
Step 2: Apply to Malaysian University that are collaborated with your preferred university from other country.
Step 2: Get offer letter from Malaysia and complete application and visa process.
Step 3: After getting the visa travel to Malaysia and join the University.
Step 4: Complete your graduation here.
Step 5: Your certificate and transcript will be provided from your preferred University that you choose at the beginning.
Remember: Exams, Assignments, Thesis all will be observed by the preferred university, not by the Malaysian university. To clear the process I am giving you an example. Saddam wanted to study in Greenwich University, UK. He found that a Malaysian University named Segi College provide the opportunity of Collaboration education in Malaysia. Therefore, He applied to Segi College Malaysia. His chosen course name was: Business Management, Segi college KL, Collaborated with Greenwich University, UK. The course was for 3 years so it is called 3+0 Course. Then he got enrolled at Segi College KL and came to Malaysia. During his education all of his assignments and papers were sent to UK and the Greenwich University marked those papers. After completing the Course in 3 years he is graduated in Malaysia But his certificate and transcript was provided from University of Greenwich, UK. Thus, He completed a UK degree while studying in Malaysia.
“Saddam is a real Character who now applying for Masters in Malaysia. Another UK degree in Segi College. His preferred University is University of Sunderland, UK”
