It's 2022. Why are you still not finding your customers via online advertising?
Attention to sales people struggling to make more sales...
Your potential customers are spending time online more than ever… on Facebook, on TikTok, on Instagram, on LinkedIn etc. Why are you not getting them to chase you for whatever problems you can help them solve?
Based on a quick survey amongst sales people, less than 20% of them are actively marketing themselves online via paid marketing aka online advertising.
Those that are indeed marketing themselves online, are mostly dwelling in organic content like posting motivational quotes on FB, or dancing videos on TikTok…
First and foremost, organic content WORKS, but it’s going to take a while (like 6 months perhaps) and it takes a whole lot of consistency to make it actually work for you.
That means, you’ve got to be posting new content, useful content (not dancing videos please), on a daily or weekly basis, and continue to do so for a period of time, before it can bring you any potential new customers.
Here’s the problem for most sales people… they needed more sales since yesterday, or the week before, or the month before…. definitely NOT 6 months later haha.
Here’s a better way to actually get more sales in 2022 and beyond:
1. Build your personal brand online.
Show up on the newsfeed of your potential prospects. Let them know who you are, what you do, and most importantly, how you can help them solve their problems.
2. Advertise to your potential prospects.
Reach them online. Show up, be in their face when they’re socialising online. Make them aware of your existence and how you can help them solve their problems.
3. Don’t sell to them, help them solve their problems instead.
When they do express interest and ask for more info, be diligent and follow up fast, like really fast, while they’re still interested.
Don’t bombard them with your product features and countless reasons why they need to buy from you now… instead, ask them what’s their problem and how can you help.
BE HELPFUL.
