Sunrise Hike @ Selabat
This is our tour guide Encik Bahtiar. He is not only a tour guide but also a very good photographer (last image taken by him).
He is a Malay but he speaks Chinese to us and surprisingly in Hakka.
Although this is the month of Ramadan, he guided us to the top of the mountain and 3 waterfalls without a single sip of water. And here we finished a bottle of water and are still so thirsty.
He told us how important a tour guide is, even if you know the path through the jungle, but a tour guide is there to keep you safe.
So next time when you’re trekking guys, be sure to hire a tour guide. Help local tourism. I’m happy to see more and more places are being discovered in Sarawak. And tour guides here are so friendly!
