Born out of the team’s culinary obsessions, a studio-wide side project has dished up a comforting collection of recipe cards from its designers and directors to colour your plate.

It’s not often that an opportunity arises for a whole team to get involved in a creative side project, but Montreal-based design studio Wedge makes a bit of a thing of it every year. Keen to carve out the time to work on something together that comes from the heart, this time round its taken the form of 12 thoughtful dishes from the studio’s designers and directors.

“At Wedge we are a group of bon vivants,” co-founder Sarah Di Domenico tells us, “we’re obsessed with good food and drink and coming together around it.” Which is why the outcome of their end of 2024 team project had to be Staff Meal: A collection of recipes from the team, each with their own personal anecdote and illustration, its name a nod to restaurant team culture.

The world of fitness has changed hugely over the last decade, not least thanks to new technologies from the likes of Fitbit and Apple. But the tech giants aren't the only game in town. Other, more locally-based companies have also been revolutionising the way we keep our bodies and minds in trim.

Take Orangetheory Fitness, a boutique fitness studio franchise based in Florida, USA. In 2010, they created a new fitness phenomenon by combining community and coaching with science and technology. Since then, their network has expanded to over 1,500 studios, offering science-backed, technology-tracked group workouts to thousands of members in 24 countries around the world and throughout all 50 US states.

Recently, they decided they needed to reassert why their unique approach to fitness was the best option for most people. So they turned to DesignStudio, a branding and design agency based in London, New York and Sydney, to help focus their positioning, evolve their identity and energise their community.

As the luxury British carmaker prepares to relaunch as an all-electric brand, its identity has undergone a dramatic transformation. We explore Jaguar's bold new look ahead of its 90th anniversary and why it's got everyone talking.

Jaguar has unveiled its new branding as it gears up for a relaunch as an electric-only marque. Now owned by Tata Motors, it plans to introduce three new electric vehicles in 2026, marking a pivotal moment for the British car manufacturer.

A commitment to originality is central to this transformation, which is a complete repositioning. Drawing inspiration from the words of its founder, Sir William Lyons – "A Jaguar should be a copy of nothing" – the brand has embraced this ethos as the foundation of its identity. A provocative new slogan, 'Copy Nothing', also captures this philosophy.

What immediately stands out is the disappearance of Jaguar's classic teeth-baring big cat logo, which has been famously used on Jaguar's grilles and bonnets for decades. In its place is a bespoke new logo, now styled as JaGUar. Geometric, symmetrical, and minimalist, it combines upper and lowercase characters to create what the company describes as "visual harmony" while embodying "the unexpected".

If you remember the classic Jayou from Jurassic 5, prepare to feel old—it's just entered the advertising realm for the first time.

It forms the backdrop of Kellogg's new campaign, which launches today alongside its bold new visual identity for its cereal range, created by Landor.

Pantone's Colour of the Year is considered one of the most closely guarded secrets of the creative industry, and it's just been officially announced. For 2025, we bring you Mocha Mousse, a "mellow brown infused with a sensorial and comforting warmth" – a hue that will set the tone for the coming new year across fashion, interiors, design, and beyond.

For more than a quarter of a century, this annual ritual of selecting a colour that perfectly captures the global zeitgeist has become one of the most talked about events in the design calendar. According to Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, this year's choice was inspired by a collective yearning for comfort, indulgence, and shared joy.

"We look to a mellow brown hue whose inherent richness and sensorial and comforting warmth extends further into our desire for comfort and the indulgence of simple pleasures that we can gift and share with others," said Pressman in a statement.

BrandOpus has refreshed the design of McCain Foods' whole GB and EU packaging portfolio, which now includes a new bespoke typeface and printed brand assets.

As the long-term brand agency partner of McCain Foods, BrandOpus had recently worked on the McCain global identity in a bid to make the McCain brand more iconic and build a more consistent visual identity system globally. The studio also led the redesign that was carried out back in 2013.

This latest project has seen the new brand assets introduced on pack across all products, from croquettes and chips to wedges and fries.

Some of the key SKUs—including Home Chips, French Fries, and Smiles—are iconic products. According to John Ramskill, BrandOpus's executive creative director, the challenge was to retain "memory structures" and ensure "findability".

Chloé Desvenain and Nolwenn Allarousse of design studio Fakepaper pay a lot of attention to colour and collaboration. Working primarily in music, fashion, art and culture, their main ambition is to create bright, bold brands with brilliant, like-minded creatives. The duo’s recent identity for Pli Office, an office and publishing house in Paris, is emblematic of this endeavour.

“The idea behind this identity was to reflect the essence of Pli Office: theoretical, serious, and strategic,” Chloé tells us. “It’s the idealised image of what an office represents, while also embodying the creativity of a dynamic book publisher.” The identity works hard to encapsulate Pli Office’s role as the initiator of collaborations and the advocate of contemporary creators.

Cow's milk is a staple fridge item in most households in Britain, but most people are used to buying supermarkets' own or well-known brands like Cravendale or Arla.

Despite being one of the largest independent dairy suppliers in the UK, Freshways is probably less familiar to consumers, as it sells mainly to wholesalers, cafes, hotels, retailers, and bakeries. You'll most likely have come into contact with its products at your local convenience store, though its previous brand didn't really foster any consumer recognition or loyalty.

However, all that is about to change as Freshways is looking to reestablish its position as a B2B2C brand in the UK dairy market with the help of creative agency White Bear. Despite previously not investing much in brand and marketing, Freshways realised that rebuilding its brand and communicating more effectively could open doors to a huge number of independent retailers countrywide and simultaneously make the brand more distinctive to consumers.

Robot Food, in collaboration with Breez, has introduced an exciting cannabis candy brand called Goldmine Gummies in California. Breaking away from traditional cannabis branding, the design is vibrant, playful, and nostalgic, appealing to adults seeking a unique, enjoyable experience.

The packaging, featuring a child-resistant lock and embossed wordmark, is both premium and reusable. With a range of flavors and targeted cannabis formulas, Goldmine Gummies has quickly become a top contender in the state's cannabis market. It's a remarkable example of innovative branding in a growing industry.

Studio Tempo® has redefined children's product branding with their creative identity for Ama, a fun and innovative shampoo bar. Embracing a trend of simplicity and clean design, Ama strikes a perfect balance between childlike playfulness and adult appeal.

Co-founders Vinícius Theodoro and Cristina Llanos drew upon their experiences as parents to create a contemporary design that not only captivates children but also instills trust in parents. From the sleek packaging and vivid animal shapes to the choice of the name "Ama," meaning love in Portuguese, every element has been meticulously crafted to make bath time an enjoyable and imaginative experience.

This project exemplifies Studio Tempo's potential to make a significant mark in São Paulo's design scene. 🚿💙🐾

Photographer Rasmus Hjortshøj has captured a pair of spiky high-rise buildings by Danish studio BIG as they near completion in Copenhagen.

Named Kaktus Towers, the pair of jagged buildings comprise 495 residences and are linked by a raised public park that slopes between them.

According to BIG, while the towers themselves are open and inhabited, the communal facilities and public park will reach completion late this spring.

The Kaktus Towers are among the upcoming buildings featured in Dezeen's roundup of 12 interesting architecture projects scheduled to reach completion in 2024.

Their distinctive look is achieved through the rotation of their floorplates, which provides each home with a unique view of the Danish capital's Vesterbro district. Their corners are also opened up as balconies.

BIG has designed the tallest of the two towers to reach 80 metres and, together, they encompass 26,100 square metres.

The British sculptor, renowned for his gravity-defying works and mind-bending illusions, has just completed three new public installations for Assembly Bristol. The artworks inject a playful twist into the city's newly developed waterfront destination and are practical, too, acting as playful street lamps to help illuminate the area.

It's what we've come to expect from Chinneck: art that merges with architecture, blurring the lines between the familiar and the fantastical. But this time with some definitive purpose in mind.

First, sat proudly outside 'Building A'—home to BT's South West hub—is a red British phone box that has been "wrung out" by the artist, twisting a full 720 degrees. This piece, titled Wring Ring, casts a familiar icon in an unexpected light, with its red metal frame spiralling and windows rippling along the warped design. It glows from within at night, adding a theatrical touch to the artwork.
