Frans Indongo Group

Frans Indongo Group The Frans Indongo Group of Companies is a leading and diversified investment business with interests in various industries.

The Frans Indongo Group was founded by Dr Frans "Aupa" Indongo. When he founded his business, he primarily focused on the retail sector, with a vision to establish a network of shops the magnitude of which was initially thought to be impossible. With hard work and determination, he succeeded in doing just that. Since 2007, Frans Indongo Group’s focus has shifted from the retail industry to investm

ent opportunities in manufacturing, marketing and in the distribution of various products across the country through its investments in esteemed associated businesses: Bokomo Namibia, Tongaat Hulett Namibia, Wispeco Namibia and Grain Carriers Namibia. Indongo Toyota Walvis Bay was inaugurated on 9 September 2011. Seen here are Kobus van Graan (Chief Executive Officer of the Frans Indongo Group), Dr Frans Indongo and Miranda Viljoen (Dealer Principal, Toyota Walvis Bay). The Group’s appetite for the retail sector resulted in a strategic drive to expand its investments in the automotive industry. From a very insignificant market share position, Indongo Toyota has not only become the Toyota market leader in Namibia, but also a Toyota dealership grouping that is recognised for performing on par with the very best Toyota dealerships in Southern Africa. Currently, customers can experience and benefit from the Indongo Toyota passion for excellence at dealerships in Windhoek, Walvis Bay, Okahandja and Otjiwarongo. Expanding its footprint across Namibia, a new state-of-the-art Toyota dealership will be opening its doors in Ongwediva. The Group has further invested in Hino Indongo, a successful truck dealership in Windhoek, to complement its current service offerings

In the hospitality industry, the Group owns the strategically positioned hotel and conference facility, Protea Hotel Walvis Bay, as well as the epitome of luxury in the heart of nature, the Frans Indongo Lodge. With investments as its core focus, the company owns a carefully selected portfolio of a number of properties across Namibia’s major centres, including the Frans Indongo Group head office, situated in the heart of Windhoek’s CBD. As part of its approach to diversify its portfolio into other operations, the Group has also acquired interests in several other entities.

Manica Group Namibia and the Frans Indongo Group have officially announced a strategic partnership for the construction of the Rennies Indongo Port Terminal (RIPT), a massive 9,000 m2 bulk warehouse located within the Port of Walvis Bay. The two companies recently inspected the warehouse site, where civil works are visibly progressing well through the early stages of construction. The site was visited by Ralph Ruiters, Managing Director of Manica Group Namibia, and Jeremy George, CEO of the Frans Indongo Group, together with senior officials from both companies.

The investment in the facility directly addresses rising cargo volumes and the accelerating demand for regional trade solutions. RIPT’s strategic location inside the port will significantly improve turnaround times for shipping lines and cargo owners. Read more: https://bit.ly/3MTnCHZ
