Behind the Design: The Easter Fiesta Flyer
When Connect De Exclusive Hotels approached us for their Easter Fiesta event, we knew it had to be vibrant, youthful, and packed with energy — just like the event itself.
Step 1: Concept & Layout (CorelDRAW 2022)
We started with a blank A4 canvas in CorelDRAW 2022, setting the color mode to CMYK for print accuracy. The concept was to create something bold and dynamic, so we sketched a layout that puts the artist, event title, and activities front and center.
Step 2: Background & Mood
To set the mood, we created a night-life-inspired background using a blend of dark gradients and light overlays. We layered a subtle palm leaf pattern and light flares to give it that weekend night party vibe.
Step 3: The Headline – “Easter Fiesta”
We used a strong bold block font for “Easter Fiesta”, customized it with a pink-and-white gradient and added a drop shadow and inner glow to make it pop. The text slightly overlaps the performer to create depth and visual interest.
Step 4: Artist Image & Effects
We imported the artist’s photo and used the PowerClip tool to neatly fit him into the design. The image was enhanced with a soft glow and light effect to bring focus. The microphone was emphasized using transparency and spotlight effects.
Step 5: Event Details & Typography
Using a mix of clean sans-serif fonts, we organized the details (date, venue, contacts) at the bottom of the flyer. The WhatsApp and phone icons were imported as vector symbols and color-synced to match the design.
Step 6: Themed Icons & Callouts
We added graphic callouts like “GAMES | DANCE | HYPE” using CorelDRAW’s shape tools and color blends. The word “EXPERIENCE” was placed on a yellow brush-stroke banner for energy and motion.
Step 7: Final Touches & Export
The final design was enhanced with outer glows, a gold microphone, and a circle text path that says “Weekend” repeatedly to reinforce the party theme. We exported the final file in both JPG and PDF formats, optimized for print and social media.
