Checkout 7 red flag signals that indicates bad clients.ππππ
Being a designer you meet all kinds of clients, weird, selfish, lazy and annoying set of people.
But here are legit warning signs that might indicate you avoid working with a client.
1. Clients with unrealistic expectations: I'm talking about those kind of clients that expect you to design 3 logo concepts in 2 hours for $10π€£π€£, very funny right?
2. Clients that think everything will be quick and easy: if clients tell you s**t like "This shouldn't take long" that really ain't a good sign, trust me. What they're actually implying is that "they don't want to pay much for it since the design was done effortlessly.
3. Clients that speak baldly about other Designers: a client that speaks badly about designers they've worked with in the past, will eventually talk bad about you in the future too.
4. Client that make promises for the future: Some client will convince you to take on projects with lower pay, while promising to give you more work in the future. Trust me, even if the keep their promise, that a guaranteed future of contentiously getting low pay from them, HELL NO!
5. Clients that struggle to make decision: indecisive clients are pain in the ass, examples are clients that go back and fort reviewing a particular design.
6. Clients that don't want to be part of the design process: Avoid clients that hire you but don't want to participate in the design process. We both know that to get the best result in a design project, designers need the clients input as that prevents you from designing something they are not happy with.
7. Clients that don't trust your expertise: if a client seem closed to your professional opinions just because they think they know what they want (though its a good thing they know what they want) that means they don't trust your professional expertise. Trust me that is a warning sign that the project is doomed from the beginning.
I hope these tips are helpful.
