🌍 HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY to every child who deserves to dream freely.
But today, as we celebrate, our hearts are heavy.
Children belong in classrooms, chasing knowledge. On playgrounds, filled with laughter. In loving homes, wrapped in safety and hope.
Not in captivity.
Over 40 children and teachers were taken from their school in Oyo. Innocent souls. Bright futures. Families shattered. Lives paused.
These are not just statistics. These are little girls with big dreams. Boys who want to become doctors, engineers, teachers, and leaders. They are someone’s entire world — waiting, praying, and holding onto hope that feels thinner with every passing day.
In a country blessed with so much potential, we cannot normalize the abduction of our children. We cannot look away when the future of our nation is being stolen from right inside school walls. Education is supposed to be sacred ground — a place of growth, not fear.
This Children’s Day, let us do more than post pretty messages. Let us confront the painful truth: When our children are not safe, none of us truly are. When learning becomes a risk, development becomes a dream deferred.
To the families waiting in agony, we see you. Your pain is valid. Your fight is ours.
To the authorities and security agencies, the eyes of the nation (and the world) are on you. Bring our children home. Rescue them. Let them breathe freedom again.
