My Encounter with Ene. 10. I held Ene’s hand, the ring glinting softly under the light. Her smile felt like the sun breaking through clouds, warm and real. For a moment, I felt complete—like all my fears, all my doubts, had vanished.
Then suddenly, everything faded. The light dimmed, her smile blurred, and I felt myself being pulled away. My eyes shot open.
I was in my bed. The morning sun streamed through the window. My heart was racing. I looked around… and she wasn’t there. The ring wasn’t in my hand.
It had all been a dream.
But it wasn’t disappointing. Not entirely. Because in that dream, I had seen it—all the moments, the journey, the love I wanted to share with her. I realized that what I felt for Ene was real, even if the perfect ending hadn’t happened yet.
Sitting up, I smiled to myself. Dreams could be powerful—they showed you what your heart truly wanted. And now, it wasn’t just a dream anymore.
I made a silent promise: one day, I wouldn’t just dream about giving Ene a ring… I would make it real.
Because some stories are too important to stay in dreams.
