Beyond every diplomatic hulabaloo on the issue with the US, what's more important is that our government steps up security efforts across the country. It can't be business as usual again. If they did their job right, we won't be here in the first place. Security should never be politicized. Our people shouldn't feel insecure in their homes. The spate of insecurity has lingered too long and has given birth to such impressions. That surely waters down any diplomatic defence anyone puts up.
