Secondary Schools To Reopen For SS3, JSS3 Students On August 4

The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the reopening of secondary schools for JSS3 and SS3 (only exit classes) from August 4, 2020.

Students will have two weeks to prepare for the West African Examinations (WAEC) due to start on the 17th of August, 2020.

These were the unanimous decisions reached today at a virtual consultative meeting between the Federal Ministry of Education, Honourable Commissioners of Education of the 36 states, the Nigerian Union of Teachers, (NUT), the proprietors of private schools, and Chief Executives of examination bodies.

It was agreed that the exit classes should resume immediately after the Sallah break, from the 4th of August, 2020 to enable them to prepare for the WAEC examinations scheduled to commence from the 17th of August, 2020.

The meeting also resolved that a passionate appeal be made to the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and public-spirited Nigerians for assistance to schools across the country to enable them fast track the preparations safe reopening, as agreed.

Breaking: Amotekun Commences Recruitment in Ekiti State

The Board of Ekiti State Security Network (AMOTEKUN) announces the commencement of its recruitment exercises with effect from 08-07-2020. According to a press statement from the Amotekun Corps Commander, Brig- General Joe Komolafe Rtd, all eligible Ekiti indigenes from the ages of 18- 60 with the minimum education of Primary School Leaving Certificate should visit the website http://amotekun.ekitistate.gov.ng to download, fill and submit their registration online free of charge. Applicants are also advised to print out their registration form for record purposes. Registration closes on 28-07-2020

3. Higher National Diploma (HND)

4. Bachelor degree

5. You must be between the ages of 18 - 35.

6. Bank verification number (BVN).

2020 Nigeria Customs Recruitment Aptitude Test: How To Check If You’re Among The 162,000 Candidates

A few hours ago, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) announced that it had begun sending out invitations emails and messages for aptitude test to 162,399 applicants that applied for vacant job positions in the service.
At the time of this report, there is no PDF list where the name is contained, however, one of the applicants told us that he received an email a few hours ago.
If you applied for one of the available vacancies, you might probably be among the lucky ones that will be writing the aptitude test.
Things to note about the NSC recruitment shortlist
Messages are only sent to those who abide by the application rules in 2019.
This means that the 162,399 are those who made it to the next stage of the recruitment process.
828,333 applied for less than 4, 000 vacant positions available.
Various means were used to notify the applicants, these include e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.
Test centers and date for the aptitude test is contained in the notification message sent to applicants.
PRO of NCS Mr. Joseph Attah, was quoted as saying, “Following vacancies advertisement by the Nigeria Customs Service last year and the disturbing attempts by internet fraudsters to hack and discredit the recruitment process.
“The Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) has expressed dismay over the criminal activities of these elements and gave assurances of his determination to preside over a recruitment process that will be credible, transparent and smooth from the beginning to the end.
