Tears, Fear, and Silence… Ago-Are Bleeds😭
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, Ago-Are Connect announces the tragic and untimely death of one of our own, Mr. Obadara Segun, who lost his life during the recent daylight robbery and failed kidnap attempt in Ago-Are.
This heartbreaking incident has thrown our entire community into grief, fear, and disbelief. A life has been cut short in a most painful and avoidable circumstance, leaving behind a family, friends, and a community now burdened with loss and unanswered questions. No words can truly capture the pain this has caused.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Obadara Segun. May God grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and may his soul rest in perfect peace.
What makes this tragedy even more painful is that it happened in the presence of multiple security formations—Mopol 72 Squadron, the Police Station, Amotekun, and Operation Burst. This has left many in our community feeling exposed, vulnerable, and deeply concerned. If such a thing can happen under these conditions, then we must ask ourselves: are we truly safe?
Ago-Are Connect calls, with urgency and emotion, on all relevant authorities to rise to this moment. Our people deserve protection. Our community deserves peace. There must be a thorough review, stronger coordination, and immediate action to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again.
We urge all residents to stay alert, look out for one another, and continue to report any suspicious activities. In times like this, unity and vigilance are our strength.
Signed:
