Ade sat in his small apartment, his head hung low as he stared at the floor. He had lost all hope, all motivation to go on. His heart was so heavy with grief that he could hardly breathe.

His girlfriend had left him because she couldn't afford to keep him. She had made excuses, but the truth was she didn't love him and had been using him for as long as he could remember. For Ade, the pain wasn't only about losing a lover, but it was about losing someone he had come to love, someone who he thought was his forever.

On top of that, he had just gotten a new job, and it was only a temporary one. It was a good job, and he would be making good money, but it wasn't enough to make up for the loss of his old one.

Ade sat on his bed, his hands resting on his lap as he stared at the blank TV screen. He realized he needed a distraction, something to take his mind off his troubles.

He decided to watch a movie, something upbeat and with a happy ending. As he sat on his couch, he slowly began to feel better, his heart still heavy, but at least he had a way to distract himself.

As he watched the movie, he felt himself getting lost in the characters and their stories. The film was filled with laughter, love, and hope. Ade was so absorbed in the film that he didn't notice that his phone had buzzed.

He looked at the text message and realized it was from his best friend. He had been trying to reach him for hours. His friend was always available to listen to him and give him emotional support.

"Hey, what's up?" he said, answering the text message.

"Hey, man, I am sorry to interrupt your film night, but I need to talk to you," his friend said.

Ade felt his heart skip a beat. He didn't like the sound of that.

"What's wrong?" he asked, concerned.

"It's about your new job," his friend said.

Ade felt a sense of relief wash over him. At least something was going right for once.

"It's temporary, right?" he said hopefully.

"It is, but I need you to be careful," his friend said.

Ade felt his chest tighten. Careful not to lose his job? Was he hearing this right?

"What's going on?" he asked slowly.

"I overheard some of the other employees talking, something about you being a liability. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Your job is nothing but temporary, but they are saying that with you, their productivity will drop and their work will not be done correctly," his friend said.

Ade felt his heart sinking. He didn't know what to do. He was afraid to lose his job, afraid of what could happen to his financial stability.

"I need you to talk to your boss and make sure everything is okay with me," his friend said.

Ade felt helpless. He knew there was nothing he could do. He felt helpless and lost until he finally made a decision.

He called his best friend and told him the whole story. He poured his heart out and his friend listened, comforting him and giving him the reassurance he needed.

"I will take care of it, Ade," his friend said.

Ade felt a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that his friend would help him.

His friend called his boss and explained the situation. He made sure that Ade's job was completely secure and assured him that he would have his back.

It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to Ade. He realized that not everyone was out to get him, that there are still people who care. He felt a new sense of hope that he could survive this difficult time.

Months went by, and Ade started to feel a sense of normalcy. He was grateful for the help his friend gave him, but he also knew that he needed to stand on his own.

He started to work harder, focusing on his new job and making a better impression. In time, he started to feel more confident and competent.

One day, his friend called him and invited him over for dinner. Ade felt a surge of excitement as he got dressed, eager to meet his friend in person.

As he walked into the restaurant, he felt a sense of warmth and comfort. His friend's eyes lit up when he saw him and they sat down to dinner.

"So, tell me, how have you been doing?" his friend asked.

Ade smiled, "I've been doing good. Things are going well."

His friend leaned forward, "You know, Ade, I always knew that you were smart, but I had no idea how much you were resilient. I am so proud of you for not giving up and for making it out of this tough situation. You are an inspiration to me, and I am happy to see you back on your feet."

Ade felt a lump in his throat as he realized how much he had come to mean to his friend. He knew that he couldn't have made it without his friendship and support.

As the sun started to set, Ade realized that he didn't have to be in pain anymore. He had found hope, and it was all thanks to his friend.

From that day on, Ade knew that no matter what happened, he would always have a friend to turn to, someone who loved him unconditionally. He was grateful for that, and he knew that he would be okay.

The end.
