Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the installation of a 240kW solar power system at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, UNIMEDTH, Ondo.

The project is expected to provide more reliable electricity, reduce the hospital’s energy expenses, protect sensitive medical equipment, and support uninterrupted healthcare services.

According to the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr. Dr. Johnson Alabi, preparations and mobilisation to the project site are already underway.

The government is targeting the commissioning of the solar project within the first month of the final quarter of the year.
