"DM for PRICE"
The statement above is the most annoying thing about Esther my "WhatsApp and Instagram Vendor" friend.
Come, come, come... let me gist you about my experience with one vendor like this.
About some days to my birthday last year, i messaged one vendor like this. The vendor posted picture of one beautiful boxers
Yes... Boxers with the caption (DM for Price).
As an upcoming big boy that I am na, I "swaggerliciously" slide into Madam Vendor's DM.
She now said that the price for the boxers is N2,500.
"What?" was the word that came out of my mouth and automatically typed itself and send. (It wasn't me that typed it o😉)
Ordinary boxers, she told me N2,500. I sharply ran out of her DM jeje.
After two days, i got a message from Madam vendor asking me about when i will place order.
I didn't even reply the message. Me in my mind... Order ko, orderliness ni.
Some days after again she sent another message still asking about when I will place order for the boxers.
This time around, i wasn't even thinking about the fine boxers again, i just block madam vendor because she is already disturbing me.
Ever since that day, i always skip any picture on social media that says "DM for Price" even if the seller is my blooda, i mean brother.
My dear social media vendor, come and sit down, let me tell you few things you should avoid if you want to make sales from that picture you are posting on WhatsApp. Take Biro 🖊️ and Paper 📑and jot down this few points.
I won't tell you these things if you come back tomorrow 🙄.
♻️ Don't be afraid to put price on what you sell. Some of us on Instagram/WhatsApp find it inconvenient to message you for price and not buy from you. So what we naturally do if you don't attach price to your product is that we don't message you at all. We only scroll past your post.
♻️ Do not put up more that 6 picture at a go. If you are posting many picture of your product at a time, you would naturally make it into blocklist of some people or maybe the good ones might just mute everything coming from you.
♻️ Infuse real-life opinion, comedy or meme between your post.
♻️ Avoid Hidden charges. I don't like to find out that i would still pay for Delivery Fee after i had already made payment for the product. Be transparent
I hope with the few points of mine 😊, I Yusuf Qudus aka Quduslap aka Digipadi👨🏽💻 have been able to convince you and not to confuse you about some of the things you shouldn't be doing as a vendor to increase your sales.
