Asana (www.asana.com) is a project management tool that helps users and their teams keep their goals and priorities in order by creating projects, tasks, deadlines and assignments. Collaborate and get things done! Slack (www.slack.com) is a great communication tool that allows teams to keep chats focused on a specific project or subject with dedicated chat channels. Calendly (www.calendly.com) is a fantastic calendar management tool. Link to your digital calendar and send calendar invitations to people who need to schedule appointments with you. They will have access to available time slots (based on your calendar) and book times and you can even automate a zoom room to host a virtual meeting. How can a VA be helpful to you? Maybe you can relate to one of my clients. She is a college dean and she had an overwhelming number of projects running simultaneously. She found that because of the sheer magnitude of things needing to be done, a lot fell by the wayside because it was too much to keep track of. I created several accounts for her including, Trello, Calendly and even Zoom, to help organize and automate some of the things that needed to be done. Once these systems were put in place, she had a better view of the projects and tasks before her. She was able to prioritize much more easily. Then I assisted her by doing research for some of her projects, managed her email inbox, did outreach to potential partners on projects, organized meetings and their agendas, and helped with brand development. A virtual assistant can help you stay organized so that you can see the bigger picture more clearly! A virtual assistant can help you take care of those tedious tasks that just consume so much of your day.

Not everyone knows what a VA does. Here's a story of one way I helped a client. This particular client had recently transitioned from one position in one state to another in another state. She had a lot of information to organize in the aftermath of that transition. Processing her expenses, updating documents and presentations to fit her new context, transitioning former home details and arrangements to the new ones in her new location - these were all pressing tasks that needed to be addressed but for which she didn’t have a lot of time for because the major tasks of her profession still demanded her attention. I was able to tackle the tasks for her, so that she was able to settle into her new environment more easily.
