Something happened today that piqued my interest, permit me to share with you

In my school(UNIBEN), there is this place where students regularly buy food stuff from especially if you are living in school hostel, there are so many shops there, it is popularly known as June 12

Today my friend and I decided to stop bye to get food stuff....

Mind you: it's a new year and students just resumed for second semester

We got to this woman's shop, and as usual, we greeted

Mama good evening
( that is what we call her)
Mama smiled at us and answered our greetings

Even before we told her, what we wanted to buy,
mama brought out two pen 🖊️ saying Happy new year ooooo

we were surprised
She said ,
"it is the new year celebration" 🙌

I looked around and discovered she has actually been giving out pen to student who comes to buy things from her ,I saw the empty containers of pen

It is little right ▶️ I know,
But as little as the pen 🖊️ might look it is most useful to all student...

She has won an empire of customers, loyal customers ❤️

But do you know that is a Business strategy

I can bet mama's shop will be filled with customers this semester,

everyone was talking about it

She won't fight or quarrel over customers with other people selling in June 12 this semester

Her Smart strategy will naturally bring students(customers)

But she has won my heart

Still, wondering what you should look out for in the new year?

Let me share some vital tips with you, maybe you might have heard of it, but you haven't implemented

One thing we all look out for in a new year is growth, we all desire growth in all aspects of our lives

But you see this one I want to drop now, it's 100% essential because it is like a tree with branches, our achievements are all interwoven

And here is it : *personal growth*

In 2024

It's not all fight you must engage in (learn to walk away)

Stop trying to prove a point( you might not be right all the time)

Stop fighting yourself, you were defeated once accept it, and don't live in guilt and shame (let the past be in the past)

Know you are your biggest motivation, you fail, no big deal, you win, oh yes you won

Get rid of all grievances and worries, it will only slow your growth process

Don't let others' success get to you, you can also do it and be congratulated, our times are different, yours might arrive earlier and mine later that doesn't mean I will be angry, I will still keep working. 😊 smiles it is hard I know

let 2024 be all about you, you have lived in your shadow for too long

And don't forget to keep fit

Most of you know me very well. I don't accept many friends as i feel uncomfortable with that. Almost every FB friend i have known on some level, or we share some common ground, you are not just a number.
Basically if you are are my FB friend it's because we have some connection- some point of commonality. Now i would love to see if we can still chat beyond 'likes'. We are so consumed with technology that we forget the most important thing: good friendship- genuine connection- valued engagement.
