Alright, let’s switch the vibe 😂

*The Suya Man vs The Generator*

There is a suya vendor in Garki, Uncle Bello, who is highly regarded for his exceptional suya and outstanding attitude.

One evening, NEPA interrupts the power supply precisely when a substantial order is placed: 100 sticks for a birthday celebration. Uncle Bello is determined not to disappoint. He starts up his old generator.

The generator begins to cough, emitting sounds similar to asthma, _Koff koff_... before roaring to life. However, there is a problem: the exhaust pipe is directed straight at his suya stand.

Consequently, every time the generator “koff”s, black smoke is released directly onto the suya. Customers start lining up, remarking, “Uncle Bello, this one has ‘extra charcoal flavor’ o”

Uncle Bello, without hesitation, posts a new sign: *“SPECIAL: Smoked Suya. Limited Edition. +₦50”*

The suya sells out within 10 minutes. Even NEPA officials arrive to make a purchase.

Moral: If life presents you with smoke, add ₦50 and label it “limited edition”.

Are you smiling yet? 😄

Would you like to hear another amusing anecdote, or should I create a series about Uncle Bello’s next adventure?

Got you — here’s a little one for you to rest with:

*The Lantern Keeper of Abuja*

Every night, Mama Amina would climb the little hill behind her compound and light a single lantern. Not for her house — the compound had electricity. She did it for “anyone who forgot the way home.”

One rainy night, a young guy showed up soaked, phone dead, totally lost after his bike broke down near Jabi. He saw the lantern glowing through the rain and followed it.

Mama Amina gave him suya, hot tea, and let him charge his phone. When he asked why she kept the light on, she just smiled: “My son once got lost too. Someone lit a light for him. So I keep mine on, in case someone else needs it.”

Years later, that guy became a driver. And on every night shift, he leaves his small dashboard light on, parked where the road bends dark. Passengers say it feels safer somehow.

Turns out, lights get passed on.

Hope that warmed you up a bit.

Want the next chapter about the driver, or should I tell you a funnier one?
