APPLICATION FOR RIVERS STATE FREE JAMB UTME REGISTRATION

In fulfillment of his promise to the good people of Rivers State, the Executive Governor of Rivers State His Excellency Chief Barrister Nyesom E. Wike through the Rivers State Ministry of Education has commenced application for the free JAMB UTME registration for indegenes of Rivers State. The Application form is available on the RIVEMIS platform (https://rivemis.riversstate.gov.ng).

Interested applicants must be 16 years of age and above, and must be indigenes of Rivers State. This is the only channel for valid applications for this service. No manual application will be acknowledged.

Welcome to FUPRE Post UTME Screening Portal.

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun hereby invites all candidates who scored 180 and above and applied for admission into the University as first choice in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) to apply for the Post UTME Screening Exercise. Registration for Screening will commence on Monday, 1st July, 2019. Candidates are pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only for this screening exercise. RIVERS STATE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH CORP AGENCY: SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES STAGE PROTEST AGAINST DELAY IN TAKE OFF OF SCHEME.

individuals who were enlisted as successful applicants of Rivers State Neighborhood Safety Corps have staged a protest over alleged abandonment of the Neighborhood Watch employment Scheme

Our correspondent reports that the aggrieved successful candidate of the Neighborhood Watch matched to Rivers State Government House to demand explanation from the government over the delay in commencement of the Neighborhood Watch.

PRINCE AMATARI who addressed a representative of the Government House want the government to known that the delay in commencement of the operations of Neighborhood Watch could be reason why criminals have their way leading to the increase insecurity in the state.

AMATARI expressed confidence that the commencement of the Neighborhood Safety Corps would help speedily end insecurity just as he urged the government to without further delay commence the operations.

Our correspondent reports that the protesters were addressed by the representative of Government House, ERIC EFE.

The protesters later proceeded to the office of the Neighborhood Safety Corps Agency in GRA where LUCAS OKPARA accused the Director General of the Agency UCHE MIKE-CHUKWUMA of using OSPAC slow done the commencement of the Neighborhood Watch.

"He said a lot of Rivers youth are jobless, but the director general want to empower his people by using Onelga special peace and security committee, Ospac and other vigilantes to divert them to be doing the job the neighborhood watch agency should have done”.

Addressing the protesters, the Director General of the Agency, UCHE MIKE-CHUKWUMA denied sponsoring Onelga Special Peace and Security Committee in the detriment of the Neighborhood Watch and advised the protesters to have confident in Governor NYESOM WIKE over the commencement of Neighborhood Watch.

MIKE-CHUKWUMA assured that the Rivers State Government led by NYESOM WIKE was committed to the establishment of the Neighborhood Safety Corps Agency and its full operations just as he encouraged the youths not to be discouraged with the delay, urging them to continue helping the police by given useful information.
