Intending candidates for the PRIVATE WASSCE (WAEC GCE) for Private Candidates, *2018-Second Series* are hereby informed that the *REGISTRATION PERIOD* has been extended to *12th August, 2018.*
The registration was supposed to end today but it was extended.
Those who wish to sit for the Private Wassce (Waec Gce) Exam and haven't registered for the Exam, should kindly do so before the new deadline of Registration.

JAMB announces closure of Direct Entry application
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, on Tuesday, announced that the Direct Entry application, which began in December 2017, would close on June 4.
The Board’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made the announcement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, in Abuja.
According to Benjamin, over 140, 000 candidates have so far obtained the forms online.
He said that the closure became necessary in order to avail the board to plan ahead for the 2018 admission process into various institutions.
“With the policy meeting coming up on June 26, which involves the Minister of Education and all stakeholders in the sector, the 2018 admission guidelines would be discussed and approved for the board.
“This includes both for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and DE.
“Therefore, candidates who are still interested and want to apply for the DE should use the window period of seven days to apply, as no extension of date will be granted.”

JAMB Policy Meeting to Decide 2018 Admission Cut-Off holds on June 26th​
​We're pleased to announce that the Admission Policy Meeting, with JAMB, the Minister of Education and all stakeholders in the sector, has been scheduled to hold on 26th June, 2018.​
In the meeting, crucial 2018 admission guidelines, including the determination of the official 2018 Admission Cut-off Marks for various institutions will be determined.
Mr. Fabian Benjamin, the head of Media for JAMB had cautioned institutions that advertised admission into their schools before this meeting, stating that they had breached the constitutional guidelines for admissions. He stated that “a list of institutions that breached this rule are being compiled by the board and to be forwarded to the appropriate body for sanction.”
He added that institutions planning to advertise admission before this policy meeting, should suspend such actions, pointing out that the policy meeting is being held early enough in the year to allow plenty of time for schools to conclude the 2018/2019 Admissions on time.
As it stands, all attention has been focused on June 26th for the official release of Cut-Off Marks for 2018 Admission.

2018 UTME: JAMB to conduct Mock test Feb 26​

​The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)​ on Sunday said the much anticipated conduct of the 2018 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) would now hold on ​Feb. 26.​

The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin said this in an interview in Lagos.


According to him, a total of 245,753 of the 1,652,795 candidates that registered for this year’s UTME are expected to write the test.

“We are happy to announce to the public that the board has concluded arrangement for the conduct of the mock UTME, slated for Monday, February 26

“This is irrespective of the ongoing strike embarked upon by members of non-academic unions of federal universities nation wide.

“Candidates will soon be informed on when to print notifications for the examination and in addition, notifications will be sent through e-mails and text messages on the schedules of their examination,” Benjamin said.

He explained that the examination was expected to be hitch free because the board had successfully reduced incidences of malfunctioning of computers by electronically integrating the systems to see their functionality and effectiveness through link tests.

“What this means is that, at the end if the exercise, whatever system that is not seen will not be used for the mock examination.

“The 2018 exercise sold a total of 1, 966,918 candidate generating profiles.

“In previous examinations this number of candidates would have paid for the forms but through our efficient and effective system of ensuring that candidates do not waste resources, we decided to introduce the profile generating regime.

“By this method, candidates will first have to generate personal profiles before proceeding to obtain pins, in between which they are open to deciding whether to go ahead to pay for the registration documents or otherwise,” Benjamin explained.

The main UTME is expected to hold nationwide from March 9 to March 17 (NAN)

JAMB EXTENDS DEADLINE OF REGISTRATION FOR 2018 UTME TO 11TH OF FEBRUARY.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announces the extension of registration for ​2018 UTME till midnight of Sunday, 11th February, 2018.​ JAMB as a responsive organisation has taken the decision albeit with great hesitation to accommodate candidates who failed to register between the two months window period that ​ended at midnight of Tuesday, 6th February, 2018.​

The failure of these candidates to register is unfortunate and the Board hastens to add that this culture of impunity will not be tolerated henceforth.
Indeed penalty will be imposed for late registration from next session.

UTME candidates are therefore strongly advised to take advantage of the extension to register as request for further extension would not be entertained. Registration for Direct Entry candidates however continues.
