A buyer messaged me this week asking how to approach a school that
isn't tech-savvy.

My honest answer: schools don't need to BECOME tech-savvy. The
portal does the heavy lifting for them. The admin side is built
so any staff member can use it after 20 minutes of training.

That's actually the whole sale.

You're not selling "technology" to a school — you're selling them
relief. Less printing. Less reprinting. Happier parents. Modern
image. Their tech-illiteracy isn't a barrier; it's the reason they
need you.

Funny how the things you think will stop a sale are often the
exact things that close it — if you frame them right.

Most Nigerian devs are competing for the wrong clients.

You're fighting other freelancers in a race to the bottom for ₦5k
gigs from people who don't value your work — when there are
30,000+ Nigerian businesses willing to pay ₦200k+ for the same
skill, if you know how to find them and talk to them.

The skill isn't the problem. The customer is.

Stop selling code. Start selling outcomes. Schools want enrollment.
Businesses want enquiries. Shops want orders. None of them care
what framework you use.

The day you stop talking about "I can build websites" and start
talking about "I'll handle [their specific problem]" is the day
your income changes.
