Your day of visitation is around the corner
Then the wine steward said to the king, “I must confess today that I have done wrong. A young Hebrew was there with us, a slave of the captain of the guard. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted them for us. The king sent for Joseph, and he was immediately brought from the prison. After he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came into the king's presence. (Gen 41:9, 12, 14 GNT)
There are several instances and instructions urging us to keep doing whatever right thing it is that we are doing. One of such is Galatians 6:9 that says “And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up”. Here, “after a while” is the time it takes or will take before the harvest can take place. We are to continue doing the good that we know how to do without wavering no matter how long the duration may be.
Another scripture in the same vein is Ecclesiastes 11:3 that says “If the clouds are full of rain, They empty themselves upon the earth”. Like the situation in Galatians, while the clouds are being filled, it will appear as if nothing significance is happening as it may appear to be for you right now. And this may be in spite of all the good like the labor of love, giving of your seed, time, self, and such other things that you are doing at the moment. Don’t stop! Continue to fill your cloud with your services to God and humanity. Your reward will surely manifest and faster than you think.
Remember also, the events that led to Mordecai’s lifting and promotion? He helped saved the king but God kept him from being rewarded until when the dividend will bring maximum yield and impact, very much the same with the story of Joseph. There is a day destined for your reward to come into your hands. That’s your day of visitation; the day of coronation, when you will be remembered for the labor of love that you have offered in the past like Joseph, like Mordecai, David, and a host of others that got visited after waited patiently, dutifully and faithfully on their beat.
If that big break hasn’t come yet, it is not that it will not come or that you have been forgotten. Rather, it is that, what you have planted is being nurtured to maturity so that you can have a maximum yield at the time of harvest. Understand always that, God is never ever unjust to forget the labor of your love. The same way He said, He has not asked that we serve Him in vain. Your visitation will surely come in due season. Wait expectantly for it. And while at it, be diligent to stay faithful on your beat, giving it your all in whatever that your hands find you to do.
Remember the concluding part of Romans 13:11, “now is our salvation nearer than when we believed”. Like the coming of the Lord is much nearer than when you believe, so also, the reward of your faith, hope and trust in the Lord including your faithful stewardship is much, much nearer than when you first start to hope and look forward for that answer, that solution, that breakthrough and that positive turnaround in your life.
Therefore, faint not because, your due season is by the corner, very much nearer and closer than you think or imagine. May you have an end of the year pleasant surprise Jesus’ name, Amen
Have a great time in His presence and shalom.
