Every Public Relations effort must start with RESEARCH and end with EVALUATION.
You need to know the problem you are tackling, your audience and opportunities you have.
And after the EX*****ON, you need to measure if your effort was successful or not.
If you had used different marketing strategies to create awareness about your product or service, or to even try selling your offer.
It is not only about reaching your target audience but also about your marketing strategies or PR efforts having an effect on your target audience.
You have sent some emails to your target audience, did they actually read them?
You did a paid advert to sell, did your audience buy? How many of them?
If they did or not, you could only know through your analysis.
If it was not successful, you would know if you are to take up another strategy or build more on the previous more.
Therefore, all corporate organisations, businesses(Start Ups, SMEs, local businesses, etc), nonprofit organisations, and so on, should always have a follow-up on all ads, PR efforts, marketing and sales methods.
