What is copywriting?
According to Wikipedia
Copywriting is the act or occupation of writing text for the purpose advertising or other forms of marketing
The product is written content that aims to increase brand awareness and persuade a person or group to take a particular action.
My Definition
Copywriting simply means using words to persuade people to take a particular action such as purchase a product or fill in a form. It could be in written form or other means like video, podcast etc.

What Does A Copywriters Do?

Copywriters are the ones that write copy that engage people and move them to action.
Copywriters help in creating billboards, catalogs, magazine, television or radio commercials, website and social media post.
Copywriters are highly sought out people both online and offline because every businesse need to market their product or service. Most of the content you see on website or product description like the ones on konga,Amazon, etc.

10 ingredients every compelling sales copy must have

1. An attention-grabbing headline: your headline must be attention grabbing, you see people are exposed to a lot of content daily, the most important part of a copy is the headline because if your headline dosen't grab the attention of your customer how do you expect the customer to read your copy.

2. Let your first sentence keep your audience reading: after the headline your first sentence should hook your audience to keep reading.

3. Address the pain: when writing a copy you need to address the problem, because people want to know if you understand what they are passing through.
A sale is been made when you enter the conversation that is going on your customer mind. When you discuss the problem well your customer will believe you have the solution.

4. Benefit: you need to mention all the benefits they will get and focus on the most important one and explain that one benefit in details. Tell them how your product will really benefit them.

5. Include fear: you need to tell them all the bad thing that will happen if they don't buy your product.

6. Testimonies: people tend to believe when they see review of people that have benefit from the product. Testimonies help to remove all objection your audience might have in mind.

7. Summarise your offer again: tell them all they stand to gain, summarize the benefit again. People love to be told things again and again. Remind them of how your product will benefit them.

8. Guarantee: people love guarantee because they don't stand to loose their money, it helps in clearing objection of your audience.

9. Call-To-Action(CTA): tell them what to do, it could be to make a phone call, make payments etc. People love to be told what to do, make them taje action or else procrastination will take place.

10. Emotional ending: end with something emotional that will make your audience take immediate action. Use something that will get them thinking until they do what you want
