This is a very vulnerable post; i mean i might as well be this vulnerable with myself, read out my fears out aloud to my hearing as much as I can, that way I get to face it just as much.
A little birdie once said “the best way to predict your future is to create it”
Maybe that’s why I think so much about money, stability, choosing the right partner, building a good life and becoming better.
It’s not just about wanting a “soft life.”
It’s about wanting to build a life where the people I love are safe.
Where my parents can rest.
Where my siblings can dream bigger.
Where my children don’t have to inherit my struggles.
Where I can look at the life I built and say, I did it.
I think that’s what I’m really afraid of—not failing in the eyes of the world, but failing to become the person I know I’m capable of becoming.
And maybe that’s also why I’m still trying so hard.
Because I have so much life I want to give. 🥺
Like, I want to be able to buy things without calculating. I want to take care of things without thinking, “Can I afford this?” I want them to experience comfort. I want to be able to say, “Don’t worry, I’ve got it.”
Maybe that’s why I’m so scared of not making it.
Because it’s not just about me.
There are so many people I want to make life better for.
So many things I want to experience.
So many versions of myself I still want to become.
And sometimes I’m scared that I won’t get there.
Sometimes I’m scared I’m wasting time.
Sometimes I’m scared everyone is moving and I’m standing still.
Sometimes I’m scared I’ll wake up one day and realise I didn’t become the person I knew I could be.
But then…
I remind myself that I’m still here.
Still trying.
Still dreaming.
Still figuring it out.
And maybe that has to count for something.
Because honestly, I don’t have it all figured out.
I’m just a girl in her 20s trying really hard to build a life she’ll be proud of.
And I really, really hope I make it. ✍️❤️🩹
