EKO-EMARKETS: WHY YOU NEED A WEBSITE
There are many reasons why every business owner must have a website; yes it’s a “must”! And there are several reasons why, but let’s focus on one crucial reason “Marketing”. Marketing is the process of creating awareness and acceptance of a product or service associated with a brand. People may be aware of something, but if it’s not accepted, it’s not popular, so a good or a working marketing strategy must include acceptance. This brings us to the 4-pillars of marketing to understand why every business must have a website. People – Position – Price & Promotion.
1. People; Everything and anything, in the form of Goods and Services, follows the law of demand and supply, and who makes the demand and supply? People. You must know your targeted audience (people) that can make demand for your goods, products and services. Nigeria might be a poor country, but the most advance and majority of the middle class population or people that can afford your goods and services in the country are on the Internet, so if your business isn’t active on the internet, then you’re simply not serious.
2. Position: Every good business into products, sales, or services, must have their own unique point of sales, where it can display its products and services. Having your own online territory is crucial; it’s the same as having a corner-store, a shop, or an office in a complex. In this case, being on social media seems enough to many, but it’s not, imagine if your account is blocked, or the terms and condition no longer favors your business. Like it or not, you might have a social media presence but it’s not necessarily under your control, so you need your own space, 100% under your authority, and that can only be a website, and just like your corner-store, you can show case your goods, products and services to the world, because the scope of a website is larger compared to a shop.
3. Price: Once you have your position right, you have to give a price tag to your goods, product, or service; the internet is a good place to display information (Price Tag) about your goods, products and services giving the client an idea of what he or she would spend In the market, having your own website serves this purpose better than a physical store, because it’s easier to contact for information online than any other platform. People go online everyday looking for essentials to buy, once you can use SEO tech to build your brand marketing you’re likely to double your sales compared to a shop, or even a service office in a complex.
4. Promotion: Advertising gives consumers the right to choose, and without competition development is slow, so you must promote your brand or you will be out ran by the competition. Through viral contents, online promotions are considered more effective than physical promotion, because most of the middle class that makes the most of the purchase of goods and services are online (people) so once you can get their acceptance online you’re likely to get the better share of the market, and this population of middle class will prefer a business with a website, than just a person selling online, so step-up your business and get a website.
