Some voices don't stop broadcasting. They just move to a different frequency.

High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi didn't just build a station, he proved that African media could carry its own weight. At ILGM, we exist in the wake of that proof. We don't just remember him; we're built on what he stood for.

Three years gone. The signal holds. Rest well, High Chief. 📡🕊️

Informed Lens Global Media is +1 🎉

On this day, three years ago, we officially kick-started this journey.

We are deeply grateful to GOD for how far we have come, to everyone who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life, the brands we have built identities for, and everyone who has referred and supported us along the way.

We may not yet be where we envisioned, but we are thankful for every step, every lesson, every growth, and every win.

The future holds so much for us… and we are already walking into it.

Happy Anniversary to the global brand, ILGM. 🖤
More years to grow, create, inspire, and celebrate.

DAI DAI: SHAKIRA AND BURNA BOY RELEASE OFFICIAL 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP ANTHEM

Shakira and Burna Boy have released "Dai Dai," the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The track dropped on May 14 via Sony Music Latin and is available on all major streaming platforms.

The nearly four-minute song blends Afrobeats, Latin pop, dance-pop, and reggaetón, with lyrics built around themes of resilience and unity. The title is an Italian expression meaning "come on" or "go, go." The track's chorus unfolds in multiple languages, and midway through, both artists name football legends Maradona, Maldini, Ronaldo, Beckham, Kaká, Messi — alongside competing nations including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Japan, Korea, and the Netherlands.

For Shakira, the release marks her second FIFA World Cup official anthem, following "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" in 2010. For Burna Boy, it is a historic moment — making him only the second Nigerian artist to feature on a FIFA World Cup soundtrack, after Davido appeared on "Hayya Hayya (Better Together)" for the 2022 Qatar tournament.

The song is officially tied to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is targeting $100 million by the end of the tournament to expand children's access to quality education and football opportunities. FIFA confirmed that Shakira will donate her royalties to the fund, with Sony Music pledging to match the first $250,000 raised.

"Dai Dai" is part of the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album, which also includes "Lighter," "Por Ella," "Echo," and "Illuminate," with more tracks expected ahead of the tournament. The 2026 FIFA World Cup opens June 11 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City and concludes July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

NO APPROVAL, NO CHANGE: UNIBEN SHUTTLE DRIVERS IMPOSE NEW FARE AS STUDENTS CRY OUT

By Informed Lens Global Media (ILGM)
May 12, 2026 | Benin City, Edo State.

Shuttle bus drivers operating within the University of Benin (UNIBEN) have launched an impromptu protest, demanding an increase in bus fares to ₦150. But rather than wait for any official approval, some drivers have already taken matters into their own hands, charging students the unapproved fare unilaterally, while others are reportedly refusing to provide change, leaving students with no choice but to forfeit the difference.

The situation has caused significant frustration across campus. Students who depend on the shuttle service for daily movement between faculties and hostels are bearing the brunt of what many are describing as exploitation disguised as protest.

"They are just using the protest as an excuse," one student said. "Some of them are already collecting ₦150 and when you give them ₦200, they act like they don't have change. You either wait forever or you leave your money."

The agitation has left many students stranded or digging deeper into already stretched pockets, with no official communication from the university administration or the Students' Union Government on the matter at the time of this publication.

ILGM will continue to monitor the situation.

UNIBEN RECONSTITUTES CULT COMMITTEE HOURS AFTER CHAIRMAN ACCUSED VC OF SUPPRESSING EVIDENCE

By Informed Lens Global Media (ILGM)
May 13, 2026 | Benin City, Edo State

Less than 48 hours after Venerable Egbenusi publicly resigned as Chairman of the University of Benin's Cult Renunciation, Reconciliation, Reformation, Rehabilitation and Inter-Faith Committee (CR4IC) — and levelled explosive allegations against the Vice Chancellor — UNIBEN management has moved swiftly to reconstitute the same committee under new leadership.

In a circular dated May 12, 2026, signed by Deputy Registrar (Establishment), Omage-Umeh T. M. (Mrs.), on behalf of Registrar and Secretary to Council, Bimpe Omoyiwola, the university announced that the CR4IC has been reconstituted and will now be chaired by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Ekehuan Campus, Prof. B. A. Ayinde.

The circular, addressed to the entire university community under reference REG/RO/C.51, made no mention of Ven. Egbenusi's resignation. It made no mention of the killing at the main gate. It made no mention of the allegations against the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN.

Instead, it spoke of "unwavering commitment to promoting peace, harmony, mutual understanding and constructive engagement." It assured staff, students and stakeholders that the university "remains fully committed to sustaining a safe, peaceful and inclusive academic environment."

The timing tells a different story.

A man was killed in front of the university gate. The committee chairman who tried to report it resigned, alleging the VC threatened him to bury the evidence. Within hours, that same committee has been quietly reconstituted — with a new chair, a new circular, and not a single word about what triggered the change.

The university community is watching. So are we.

UNIBEN management is yet to formally respond to Ven. Egbenusi's resignation letter or his allegations against the Vice Chancellor.
