Yesterday (May 18) was my friend's birth anniversary and instead of something extravagant we took a walk and grabbed dinner but that wasn't the experience.

We had hours of serious talks that promptly reminded me of my meetings over the weekend and here a few lessons I learned from these conversations.

1. No one is coming to save you.
2. Ex*****on will always outperform Knowledge.
3. Embed relatable stories into your brand identity.
4. Treat people with love.
5. Be bold and ask for what you want.
6. Set a goal; follow through with mad ex*****on.
7. The Universe only gives those who build momentum.

My good times and your good times will last because the bad times lasted more than they should.

One of the philosophies im learning to incorporate in my life is the mindset to keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep on creating even if no one is cheering you on. This is not being frequent but instead being consistent with the end goal in mind.

While researches like June Tangney and Brene Brown believe that guilt can offer a better motivation to choose better habits I believe greatly that that report doesn't capture the African society of 2026.

Guilt and Shame are counterproductive and only reinforces the behavior you're trying to correct. But if you believe otherwise, share your thoughts I'm open to learning
