ASEYIN OF ISEYIN MOURNS PASSING OF PROF. Y.K. AJAO*

With a heavy heart, I, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola, Ajirotutu I, mourn the passing of our iconic musician and cultural pride, Prof. Y.K. Ajao.

He was a true son of Iseyin whose music carried our heritage to the world. Through his songs, he taught, inspired, and united generations.

Iseyin has lost a legend, but his melodies will live on forever. We commiserate with the Ajao family and pray God grants him eternal rest.

His Royal Highness, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola-Adeyeri III, the Aseyin of Iseyin and traditional ruler of Iseyin Kingdom in Oyo State, paid an official visit to the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture in Rwanda.

During the visit, His Royal Highness was taken through RICA’s innovative hands-on and enterprise-based learning model. He engaged with various practical training environments and observed firsthand the institution’s commitment to preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders through real-world experience.

The royal father also witnessed RICA’s dedication to agricultural transformation, particularly the promotion of Conservation Agriculture, which plays a vital role in restoring soil health and enhancing food security across Africa.

The visit concluded on a note of mutual appreciation, with both parties expressing optimism for future collaborations aimed at strengthening agricultural development and shared learning across the continent.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

My heart goes out to the family of His Royal Majesty, Oba Johnson Akinloye Olaoye, Olaewe II, Alamodu of Ago Amodu, during this time of mourning. His passing is a profound loss, not only to his immediate family but to the entire community he served with unwavering dedication and commitment.

Kabiyesi will be fondly remembered for his selfless service, leadership, and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. His reign was marked by peace, progress, and a deep sense of responsibility to his people.
