‎PRESS RELEASE

‎PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT CONDEMNS ATTACK IN BIN MPER, KOMBUN DISTRICT OF MANGU LGA

‎The Plateau State Government has condemned the reported attack in Bin Mper community, Kombun District of Mangu Local Government Area which took place in the early hours of Tuesday 18th August, 2026.

‎This disturbing incident development threatens the peace and security being consolidated across the State.

‎The Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang is deeply concerned about reports of violence in the community and sympathizes with residents and families affected by the incident. While regretting this terrible occurrence, the "Time is Now" administration is calling on members of the community to remain calm, avoid any form of reprisal and refrain from taking the law into their own hands, as security agencies continue efforts to establish the full circumstances surrounding the attack.

‎Furthermore, the Governor has called on the relevant security agencies to intensify surveillance and patrols in Bin Mper, Kombun District and other vulnerable communities in Mangu LGA, while urging residents to provide credible and timely information that could assist security personnel in identifying and apprehending those responsible.

‎The Plateau State Government reiterates that the protection of lives and property remains a priority of the administration. It will continue to work with traditional rulers, community leaders, youth organisations, religious leaders and security agencies to strengthen peaceful coexistence and prevent the escalation of violence.

‎It further appeals to all residents of Bin Mper and neighbouring communities to remain vigilant, peaceful , law-abiding and to report any suspicious behaviour to relevant authorities.

CHIEF KEFAS WUNGAK ROPSHIK: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I woke up this morning to the devastating reports of yet another massacre in Dang Per, Bwai District of Mangu LGA, where more than 20 innocent lives were reportedly lost. This follows the recent attacks in Rim, Wereng, Mawuri and Yelwa. The frequency, ferocity and sheer impunity with which these attacks are being perpetrated have become intolerable. Enough is enough.

I am profoundly pained by the relentless slaughter of our people. Plateau cannot become a theatre where citizens are repeatedly murdered, communities displaced and families shattered, only for government officials to issue condolences after each tragedy. Condolences are no substitute for security; expressions of grief cannot resurrect the dead. The magnitude of this crisis now demands extraordinary, immediate and unequivocal action.

I therefore call on the Plateau State Government to declare a state of emergency on security and immediately convene an emergency security summit involving the relevant Service Chiefs, heads of security and intelligence agencies, Local Government Chairmen, traditional rulers, community leaders and other critical stakeholders. This crisis requires a unified command structure, actionable intelligence and an unrelenting operational response.

Our security personnel must be adequately equipped and empowered to confront this menace. The State Government must urgently provide operational vehicles, communications equipment, surveillance capabilities and other essential logistics. Operation Rainbow must be substantially strengthened, properly equipped and integrated into a robust, intelligence-driven security architecture capable of preventing attacks rather than merely responding to their aftermath.

Where conventional security mechanisms prove incapable of apprehending those responsible, I urge the Governor to explore every lawful and constitutionally permissible option, including the engagement of specialised external expertise

MY TAKE ON PSQUARE AND JUDE SAGA

1. They spent time building brand and making money, but they did not spent time to build family ties

2. They were so good at what they do, to the point they started seeing themselves as business associates not blood Brothers anymore

3. Jude forced himself into them, forgetting the fact that Paul and Peter are one not two. By experience, I've learned over the years that three people cannot be friends or business associates without any of the two betraying or backstabbing the other

4. Jude should have played the role of a father by uniting his younger brothers, but instead, he chose "divide and rule" to swindle them

5. Neither Peter, nor Paul is bigger or better than Psquare. No matter how they try individually, none of them can outshine Psquare or break the record set by them collectively

6. Let them reunite as brothers first and build family bond before thinking of doing music together

7. Let Jude step aside as manager, and let them look for someone they are all comfortable with to manage them.

8. Let Jude initiate the reconciliation process by doing an apology video, taking the blame for what happened, and also share the royalties diverted to North Side Music

9. Close down North Side Music after sharing the diverted royalties equally between the three of them

10. Let them seek for forgiveness from the people who played major roles in their journey to stardom. Because it is alleged that they turn their backs on people who contributed significantly to their rising. Matter of fact, It should start with a free show in Jos

I pray peterpsquare and Rudeboy get to see this
