Most people don't really understand marketing
To a typical Nigerian marketer, to persuade people to buy... just do anything.
Just add all the strategies, tactics, power words, urgency, Scarcity,
A little lie here and there
Some even go ahead to threathen, "if you don't buy you'll die broke" 🤦♀️
Omo...
That's not REAL MARKETING!
In fact, if you do your marketing right, people should pay you and say, "thank you for taking my money. 😇
Yes!
The essence of marketing is to help and when you help someone, it is expected you get a" thank you."
You're helping them to get a better life.
So, when you center your copy/content around this, your reader will feel guilty not taking your advice/ help to buy it.
Exactly the same way a lot of persons couldn't resist dropping feedback how persuasive the copy I used to sell that secret copywriting videos was.
One of them paid and came inbox to pray for me.
Someone even said, he paid and still went back to read the copy again.
Okay, here's the main gist:
The truth is,
I was even in kitchen preparing spaghetti and at the same time watching a TV show when writing that copy.
Like I just wrote it directly...
But I knew if I spelt, "I just want to help" in a conversational tone
You can never resist it.
And boom... that was it! The rush was massive.🔥
When next you want to sell you service or product on social media, if you want heavy downpour of sales...
Be conscious of these:
1. People are not entitled to buy, if you want them to buy, give them a reason to
2. Marketing is just to help.
Don't be too hard on getting their money, make sure your advice is really going to help them
3. Show how deeply you just want to help and give a reason why.
The world is already so bad, give us a reason why you are being good to us.
4. Make it conversational-especially if you're selling on social media.
People scroll on Facebook to catch cruise and fun. Don't spoil their fun by letting them know you want to sell from the beginning.
Write it like your normal Facebook post.
switch from a sales pitch to a normal conversation.
5. Lastly, don't forget to drop your tithe later 😊
