When it comes to ecommerce, people mistake it for something else.
What is Ecommerce? Ecommerce is basically selling goods/products online. As simple as that. It is any form
of business transaction carried out online.
Which means even if you’re running a business on WhatsApp, then you are into
ecommerce… But ecommerce is wider than just doing a business online. Here we are
talking about having a website for your ecommerce business
While you can sell things on your WhatsApp; you’ll sell more if you have an ecommerce
website. An example of ecommerce websites are Jumia and Konga.
You can have your own simple ecommerce website; you don’t have to be selling lots of
products like Jumia; in fact, you can be selling just one product on your website, and be
making a lot of money from it.
If you are selling stuff before, it's advisable you have a website for it. If you don’t have
something selling before, you can do a mini importation and sell your products online…
OR
You can do what I do, which is known as “Ecommerce Dropshipping”
E-commerce dropshipping is a business model that allows you to sell a product you
don’t have and make a huge profit than even the manufacturer/supplier of the product.
I know you don’t understand. Let me explain in a more relatable way. I will explain the
concept of dropshipping first, then I will explain ecommerce dropshipping.

If this is something you would like to read more on, drop a comment and I'll post a new content on it.

Okay, this one time I showed interest to buy this tie and dye hoodie from this babe was referred to by a friend. we got talking and she said the hoodie cost #6,5000 plus 1k delivery. At this time I was a salary earner, so I told her I would get back to her by month-end. Days later I hit her up that I was ready for payment she should send aza. This babe legit told me that the price of the hoodie has gone up by #500, why? she said the cost of things was high. I ended up not buying the hoodie.
You see I was hyped about the product from the start like I need to get this hoodie and at the end, I felt irritated.
One thing you should know is selling is psychology. If you find it hard to understand how the average man thinks, you'll hardly make sales.

Now immediately she said the price added up, which already made me uncomfortable, if she had backed it up with a statement like "I get that this doesn't make sense to you but I'm at loss here if I sell for that price, to make up this discomfort we could work something out on your next order.
You get this? like you already hooked me up with an offer which would want me to order something else, anytime I want to get clothing-related stuff you come to the top of my mind cause you already promised me something. Not only would she have closed that sale, but also has me as a repeated customer.

i recommend this book The Psychology of Selling by Brian Tracy. You can get it as an e-book, audio file, whatever works for you, i like mine the old fashioned way no matter how technology evolves just give me an hard-copy... taloni ebook werey.
You can use these tricks I'll mention below to improve your sale closing.
1. Make it about them: what do i mean by this? we as human are selfish we don't care about other things apart from ourselves, when we want to buy something we think in 3 major ways:
- is this product or service going to help me cure my problem
- is this conversation really worth my time
- has this helped other people
As a business owner, you know a lot about your products and/or services. That’s a given. Still, that doesn’t mean your potential customers want to know everything you know about it. Actually, making the sale is about making it all about them. Close it by showing how your service can make their life easier.

2. Sell emotions: play the emotion game with your prospect, identify your prospect’s emotional values - Find out what your prospect values and how to emphasize that your product/service honors those values.
Brian Tracy says the two main reason people buy or don’t buy are desire for gain and fear of loss. Prospects either want to add more to their lives, as mentioned above, or are afraid of making a buying mistake.

To understand more of this i urge you to buy the book like i said earlier, or download ebook or audio book, anyone that suits you.
Need to go now, hope you were able to learn a thing or two ❤️💡

Before you run an ad on any platform ask yourself these questions.
What is the result I'm aiming to achieve?
How much will it cost to drive the result?
Take this for example
Your goal is $10,000 in revenue per month
What does revenue mean? this is the total amount you accumulate in sales. Now leaving the definition let's go back to it
How do you achieve this?
© 1 in 100 visitors becomes buyers.
© What you're selling costs $50, so each buyer spends $50 in purchasing your product.
© $10,000 ÷ $50 = 200 (meaning you need 200 customers to buy your product)

Hence 200 buyers × 100 visitors = 20,000 visitors to make $10,000.

Now you sure don't want to lose profit just because you running the ad.
Let's say you buy your product at the rate of $30 + $5 for delivery = $35
The price you sell at (Revenue): $50
Profit: $50 - $35 = $15

Don't spend more on advertising than the profit you make.
Use the rule of thirds: Meaning don't spend any more than ⅓(quarter) of your expected revenue on advertising.
So if you're expecting $10,000 in revenue don't spend more than $300 on ads. If you spend over this you're already running on loss.
