5 Steps To Close A High Ticket Deal With Cold Calling. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
1. When cold calling, introduce yourself over the phone. Try this: ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
Hello, my name is Mark (no need for last name) and I'm calling you from.... (indicate where you're call from). 🚪⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
2. Ensure that the place you’re calling from is stronger than your name since your name is not yet a known brand. It could be the name of the company you work with, a school etc. Eg I'm calling from LeadsUp Africa. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
3. State the reason for the call. Ensure you do that as not everyone has the luxury of time. 💭⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
4. Sell what you have to offer to the person.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
5. Remember this, you can't always sell over the phone. You need a hook. Book a time with the person for an appointment and go close the deal. 🤝⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀

WHEN LESS IS MORE: HOW DAWN MELLO PROVED IT IN GUCCI

In the late 1980s, Gucci started witnessing slow sales. Celebrities, the rich and powerful stopped buying Gucci. The management concluded that the problem was design - hence Gucci needs new and more designs.

Dawn Mello was hired in November 1989 as Gucci's executive vice president and chief designer. She was tasked with creating new and appealing designs for Gucci in order to put the brand back on track.

Few months into her appointment, she discovered that the problem with Gucci was not designs but that it has become too common.

Gucci prospered so much in the 1970s and early 1980s. The demand became too much that they opened over a thousand stores worldwide and increased the number of collections to 22,000.

Mello, took an unprecedented risk of reducing the number of Gucci stores from over 1,000 to just 180 in a move to rebuild the brand's exclusive reputation.

She also reduced the number of items sold by Gucci from 22,000 to 7,000 and increased the price of the remaining items in order to restore its exclusivity. To compliment her efforts, she hired Tom Ford to create only exclusive designs.

These moves made Gucci to become rare once again because it could only be found in few cities. As a result, sales skyrocketed.

Even till today, with a revenue of over €10 billion, Gucci has only about 480 stores. They could have more stores if they want but Mello has thought them that more does not always bring more.

More could be less and Less could be more. Know thyself and know thy people.

Happy weekend.
