Winning the DFA2.0 Challenge by came with a huge mindset shift, and the answer to a question that I've had on my mind for a while now.

I've taken the first step on this journey, and I hope to achieve all that I step out to do.

To all lives out there whom I've been destined to touch, I'm making a promise not to give up...

Abia Has Nigeria's Best Digital Talent. So Why Is Our Youth Unemployment at 38%?

A few months ago, Abia State absolutely dominated the national Digital for All (DFA) 2.0 Challenge.

We went to Abuja, beat out over 15,000 participants, and brought home massive wins and millions of Naira in prizes.

We proved, on a national stage, that God's Own State has some of the sharpest digital minds in Africa.

But when the cheering stopped, a harsh reality remained.

Despite having top-tier tech talent, Abia State currently has the highest unemployment rate in Nigeria at 18.7%,

and a staggering 38.1% Youth NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) rate. I call this the "Abia Paradox."

Right now, our state is doing an incredible job laying down underground fiber optics and building digital infrastructure.

But what happens when you build a multi-billion Naira "digital highway" if your youth don't have the "cars" (skills) to drive on it?

Worse, with federal resources centralizing in neighboring states, we risk a massive brain drain where our best minds migrate, leaving our new infrastructure empty.

We are building a Formula 1 track, but forgetting to give the people driver's licenses.

It's time to change everything. We need to shift from an "Infrastructure-First" to a "Human-First" strategy.

I just published a deep-dive article breaking down the exact 3-step pivot Abia needs to take to monetize our infrastructure, plug the 3MTT gap, and solve the 38% youth unemployment crisis.

It is a well-known fact that Abia State is experiencing a massive, beautiful facelift. From roads to bold digital agendas, everyone is talking about the infrastructural boom.

I thought winning N12.5 million would be the peak, but of course, I was wrong...

Being one of the Tech4Dev DFA 2.0 Challenge winners came with a huge mindset shift and answers to the questions that have bugged me for a long time...

For a long time, I viewed "digital innovation" as a tool for personal survival, a way to write better copy, build better funnels, and secure my own bag.

But standing on that podium and then diving into the trenches of AI/Machine Learning, my perspective on Education Technology has shifted entirely.

I realized that EdTech is about moving Nigeria from a nation of "tech consumers" to a powerhouse of "tech creators."

As a brand strategist, I am used to guessing what people want, but now, Iโ€™m learning to build the algorithms that know what they need in real-time...

The conversation around digital innovation is no longer just about "getting a job."

It is about building the infrastructure that employs the next generation.

This video isn't just about me sharing my story...
..it is a testament to the fact that when you give a Nigerian youth access to the right tools, you don't just change a life...
..you change an economy.

To everyone who is inspired by my story, you are the prototype of the "New Nigeria."

So tell me, has tech changed your perspective on what is possible in Nigeria? Please, let me know in the comments! ๐Ÿ‘‡
