I wonder how some designers will kickstart a project without proper research.

Just like other professionals, designers are meant to carry out proper research on the project they're about to embark on.

Without research, you might make a beautiful design but not a succeful design.

That's it.

If your design is just beautiful but doesn't communicate the message it should, then you've failed.

You'll only know how to communicate with the design when you carry out a proper research.

Here are few pointers to carry out proper research:

1. Research on the theme of your design:

What does it entail? How does it work? Check successful designs that have been done on that theme before.

2. Research on your clients:

What does your clients like? Get more details from them. Put it down and gather it to work on that project.

You'll head on with a clear picture of where you're going.

But if you don't, you are likely to be starring at the canvas without knowing where to start from.
